    This is the second Canon - EF 50mm f/1.8 that I have bought at Best Buy. I still have the first lens and using it, but wanted a second on hand if needed. At this price, you can't go wrong.

    This is my second copy of the 50 1.8; I've owned the non-STM version also. This is a better lens because of the STM focusing motor and metal mount. The image quality between the old and new lens is the same.

    The 24-105 is a great one carry lens. But, I think we forget how versatile the simple 50mm is. Light, bright, and sharp as heck. Great for video shooting. I’ll be using it a lot more.
