After using the 1.4 I felt that I was getting better/sharper photos with this lense than the 50mm 1.4. Save yourself some money and buy these lense.

Excellent image quality, honestly - with the photos I get from this, I can't see spending more for the 1.4 or 1.2 versions of the 50mm. Just doesn't make sense. Focus is extremely fast, very sharp images.
