I love the camera so far. I bought this along with the RF 35mm. I upgraded from a Nikon D3200. It’s a night and day difference. I switched to Canon because mirrorless is the future. The new canon RF lens are beautiful and that’s where I want to invest.

Absolutely an amazing Camera. I have used just about every camera from medium format to 35 mm, DSLRs and now mirrorless. Easy to set up...go to youtube on how to set up this camera. Mirrorless is the way to go.

I'm kind of getting the hang of it by watching a lot of youtube videos. I'm learning a lot of cool features that my DSLR can't do. I can't wait till the nightclubs starts back up so I can start recording some cool video intros.

I got this to replace an AE1 for Astrophotography. This is a very advanced camera and it pays to watch you tube videos to understand all of the features. I have a couple Rokinon lenses and it works great to shoot the night sky.

Super sharp and amazing in low light. The in camera image stabilization it's phenomenal, I can take long exposure shots hand held, takes a little to get used to coming from regular DSLR's but it is easy to use.

I am so glad I switched from a DSLR to a mirrorless camera! And to top it off this is full-frame, compared to my previous canon which was cropped. I am fully enjoying this camera and can't wait to use it more!

I highly recommend this camera for professional photographers and videographers. The auto focus is not as fast sometimes as my 5d it seems but it still is amazing.

Bought this after R5 and R6 were announced. Mainly shooting stills and with this price comparison for resolution I feel the EOS R is the right choice for me.

    Perfect Amount of Machine

Cameras tend to be too much machine or too little. There are very few people that are actually using everything a camera has to offer and conversely if a camera cannot do something you need - it's terrible. This camera is PERFECTLY made. It is not the big or little brother of any other device in Canon's arsenal! It stands on its own as the perfect amount of machine a serious enthusiast or young professional would need. Its lightweight yet fits nicely in your palm. As soon as I am able, I am getting a second one. Way to go Canon!

I bought this camera based on it being a little brother to the 5d. I have been shooting with it for a month now and have been thoroughly blown leased with the results of this camera. The footage and photographs this camera produces surpasses what Sony is capable of doing. The codec runs smoother with premiere and the color space is far superior. The placement of buttons is difficult to get used but with time gets easier.

I am amazed with this camera. Quite the upgrade from my 2009 model. Don’t get why the R5 and R6 and 5D are so much more, not worth. Get the R!!! Amazing camera.

As with any camera, there is an adjustment in learning to use. Now that I've had the camera for a while- I love it. Great photos! Full frame!! Uses all my Canon mount lenses.

Great camera. Excellent color and good dynamic range. Face/Eye autofocus works as advertised. EF adapted lenses work perfectly and seem to autofocus more accurately than they do on Canon DSLRs (5d, 5ds, etc). The camera is at an excellent price point at this time ($1599.99).
