I spent weeks reading, watching videos and just procrastinating... its hard to decide what camera you should buy because everyone has 100 reasons why you should/shouldnt buy a certain camera (like all material things in life) i was left full of doubt and almost decided not to pursue photography. Eventually something in me said "just do it or you will regret it later" so i did... I bought the canon EOS R10 with the 18-150 lense and let me tell ya, i have been blown away by this amazing little camera. Granted its the first one i have ever owned and used but after watching a handful of videos it is surprisingly easy to use. Its very well put together buttons seem like they are placed in the right spots And i feel like i have gotten some pretty decent photos already (maybe 2 weeks of use). Only thing is it does not come with a lense hood, i picked one up from amazon for around $10. Overall i would suggest this camera for basically all types of photography.

I went from a Canon PowerShot that is over 10 years old to this camera. The difference in the clarity is night and day! It's extremely light and has a touchscreen that helps with quick menu options as well as quick touch focus.
This camera came with the 18-150 kit lens and I love it!

Excellent “Pro-Sumer” camera! For the price you really cannot beat the quality of the sensor or quality of the color range. The kit lens is a kit lens, but honestly it’s of decent quality. With minimal investment you can really get this set up as a daily driver to kick start a professional photography career!
Also an excellent choice for Vloggers/Content creators as it doesn’t have the “30 minute” hard cap on video!

I love this camera. The first time out my pics were so bad I tossed them all. I played with my it and the settings and this was one of what I got on my second outing.

I have just started learning the nuances of photography and for a beginner, this camera is really good. It's easy to operate, sturdy and the battery backup is decent. I wish it was water proof but still at this price point, it's great buy.

I have worked off the Canon M50 for the last two and half years and without doubt, it was getting behind in the technology and support from the Canon company. An opportunity came to make a change and having followed closely all the new R Series cameras Canon was producing last year, since I was a YouTube video creator/vlogger, I settled that the R10 was the best camera to fit my needs. Its size and weight are good - not much heavier than the M50 and a little larger with a good feel in the hands. It wasn't difficult to set up this camera - I just looked at what I had in the M50 and most of the same settings were presented in the same way on the R10 - easy solution. Canon has an excellent menu system! Having purchased this camera - I made sure to use both the photo and video as much as possible to be sure this was the camera I wanted. I can happily said that it has exceeded my expectations! Yes there are things have to get used to, like handling the auto focus and the wheel adjustments for ISO, shutter, f/stop. That will come in time. The photos have been beautiful, especially after the Raws are edited, plus the video quality is a huge step up from the M50, as it should be. It's clear the R Series isn't going away anytime soon - and I'm sure the problem in the last of RF-S lenses will be solved over time. But for now, I am blessed to the a full kit of lenses to get the job done for me! I VERY highly recommend this camera! Make sure you understand image stabilization before you purchase! There is none for photography but yes for video - just was video reviews on the R10 before you purchase! I've had no problem with this.

Love this camera, which I bought prior to some trips overseas and with a desire to take better pics, especially zoom, than possible with a smart phone. I got it with the 150mm zoom and the quality has been outstanding, both for stills and video. Battery life is excellent as well.

I like the camera but still learning the ropes. Annoyingly by default it has a pause with warning beeps before taking the shot. Haven't yet figured how to disable it for photos that require quick takes.
But I like the size and weight - as a small person this one is just right.

Perfect camera for progressing from point and shoot into mirrorless. Easy set up, and nice focus. Only downside is it does not have a dial. Overall great for price.

Very powerful camera, with a lot of settings, gives you the way to be creative, but, if you want, lazy too, since it can work in automatic. Good choice for beginners, but with a sufficient quality for experts.
