I’ve been very happy with this camera. The autofocus is fast and accurate, making it easy to capture moving subjects and action shots. The image quality is impressive, even in lower light situations, and the overall performance feels reliable and professional. It’s versatile enough for sports, portraits, events, and everyday photography. The controls are easy to learn while still offering advanced features to grow into. Overall, it feels like a great investment for anyone serious about photography.

Incredible upgrade — fast, sharp, and inspiring to

I upgraded from a Canon 5D Mark IV to the R6 Mark II, and the difference has been incredible. The autofocus is lightning fast and tracks subjects effortlessly — even my daughter skating on the ice during hockey practice stays perfectly sharp. The low-light performance is outstanding, and I’ve noticed much cleaner images at higher ISOs compared to my DSLR. I also love how lightweight and comfortable it feels in hand, especially for long shoots. The electronic viewfinder took a little getting used to, but now I actually prefer it since I can preview my exposure in real time. The color rendition is classic Canon — rich and natural — and the dynamic range is impressive for both portraits and action shots. Battery life is solid, and the menu system feels intuitive once you customize it. Whether I’m photographing family moments, studio still life setups, or fast sports, this camera handles everything beautifully. I’d absolutely recommend the R6 Mark II to anyone ready to move into the mirrorless world — it’s a perfect balance of power, performance, and creativity.

I’ve been using the Canon EOS R6 Mark II for a while now and honestly, I’m really impressed. The autofocus is good and fast most of the time, especially for portraits and movement, but it’s not always perfect in every situation. Still, it usually gets the job done well. Image quality is great, even in low light, and the colors look amazing straight out of camera. I also love how smooth the video is—definitely a solid hybrid. The only thing is I sometimes wish it had more megapixels for cropping, but overall it’s been an amazing camera and totally worth it.

    Worth the investment!

I bought the R6Mkii a month ago but wanted to wait until I used it enough for a full review. I upgraded from a Canon t7, and though it was definitely a costly upgrade, it was 1000% worth it for me! The quality of the images and videos alone made me ecstatic, but now I also have ports for headphones and mics, two (2) SD card slots, and the LCD screen folds out for easier viewing access. Another thing that I like is that the SD card slot is separate from the battery slot. My old t7 had them in the same spot and sometimes it made it more difficult to reach for one or the other, especially if I was mounted on a tripod, but I haven’t had that issue with the r6mkii. When deciding on which camera I would invest in, I was between this one (r6mkii) and the Canon r5, since a lot of my work is in documentary film and needed better video features. Ultimately, I went with the r6mkii, because it had better ratings for battery and overheating, and some of the r5 features were overkill for me (I didn’t need all of the megapixels of an r5, and I’m happy using SD cards as opposed to the r5’s SD + CF combination). I don’t make a whole lot of money at my current job right now, so Best Buy’s financing plan has really helped me out as well! I looked into plans from multiple sellers, but Best Buy’s plan seemed to be the best one, as it is interest free if paid back in full within 12 months. I didn’t see any other retailers (B&H, Amazon, or second-hand sellers) with as good of a plan. I also waited until the r6mkii was on sale during the “Black Friday in July” event to help me with the cost further. Overall? Might be the best investment I’ve ever made!

This is an amazing camera with lots of features, a bit pricey though. Takes great pictures and 4K videos at 60fps. Would definitely recommend this for someone who needs both photos and videos.

The best camera ive ever used. Its quality and capabilities are incredible. Been using it for 2 years now and have been nothing but impressed. This is one of the best hybrid shooters on the market and handles my photo and video needs really well. It is so good that I bought the mark III version. This option is great for the price and is more then enough in most cases. I am looking forward to what I will capture with its newer sibling.

Was looking into Sony mirrorless cameras but after seeing what was truly important to me, Canon was the best choice for what I wanted from my camera. The simplicity in the user interface was important also I love the color straight out of camera! It will not disappoint you!! I’m always amazed at the type of photos I can get out of this!

I have used Canons since 1972. I finally decided to try a mirrorless mostly because of their incredible focusing abillities, and based on a ton of reviews I decided on the r6 mark ii. (My 5d mark iv will always be my workhorse however; i swear by the 5d series. They are indestructible;.) The r 6 is a ton of fun to use. It’s delightfully complex for the advanced photographer, but at the same time just put it on AUTO and you don’t have to know ANYTHING about photography. I am using my L (not-for-mirrorless) lenses with an ef to r adapter, and they work flawlessly. In short, i love this camera.

I went from the Canon R8 to the R6 Mark II and I wish I had just bought the R6 to begin with because it is an amazing camera with all the bells and whistles for a great price. Obviously if you’re a professional, you’re probably going to get the R5 but the image quality is still amazing with the R6 and i love how long the battery lasts. I can shoot for multiple days and not charge it. This is my 5th Canon camera and second mirrorless camera and I highly recommend.

I absolutely love this camera! I wish I would have purchased it sooner. It’s fast and sharp. I use it for portraits, sports and events. I used it at my brothers football game . Didn’t have field access so these photos were taken from the stands with a Canon EF 70-200mm. I use an adapter. Even from that far I was able to capture sharp photos. I highly recommend it.

Upgrading to the Canon R6 Mark II from my previous Rebel T6 has been an incredible experience. Transitioning into the world of mirrorless cameras has been a game changer, albeit a bit intimidating at first due to the camera's extensive features. However, Canon continues to excel in making navigation and setting adjustments intuitive and user-friendly. Right out of the box, I was able to customize the settings to fit my style and needs seamlessly. While there is still much to explore and learn about this powerful camera, I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase. The quality, functionality, and ease of use have exceeded my expectations, making this upgrade more than worthwhile.

    Best Overall Canon Camera Body

I've been on team Canon for a little over 10 years now with photography, for personal usage and a small side gig. For the price, which usually I still see this camera going on sale, you get two card slots (perfect for backing up photos), 24 megapixels (the perfect amount for great detail, printing and for editing) and really solid focus tracking for fast moving subjects. This camera is really great for wildlife and action shots, but honestly I find it also really good for family photos and long exposure shots/stills. Its a very versatile camera body and if you are looking to upgrade from a DSLR to a mirrorless camera (or just want a second camera body for your photo business needs) I cant recommend the R6 Mark II enough. Side note: I still use alot of my old EF glass. With the EF to RF adapter, they still work just as good on the R6 Mark II.

I was looking for an upgrade candidate for my 5d Mark 3 that I still love but doesn’t have 4k or any autofocus for video. I’ve never been an ultra-high megapixel snob, nor have I found the need for my use. This camera is awesome, and I bought the adaptor to fit my EF lenses. This camera is awesome and has double SD card slots, which is perfect for me. I use it for my client, YouTube channel, and portrait work. I’m doing a short documentary soon, so I love all the features and being in the frame myself with the superb auto-focus tracking. I also use the battery grip to access batteries easily while on a tripod or mount.
