The replacement for my Canon 5D markIV and I must say a Huge Upgrade! I am a professional photographer of 31 years and recently upgraded to canon mirrorless systems for our portrait studio and now with the R5 I can shoot action and event photography with easeand outstanding quality even in the jpeg and heif files not to mention the raw images are unbelievable! Focusing system is great, battery life is standard I've shot well over 1200 images before changing batteries. No overheating with still photography, I have not yet used for video the main purpose of my purchase is photography. The media is quite costly but extremely fast. I've tethered to my laptop and wireless to my phone and tablet for on location previewing. Canons best thus far. I will now purchase an R6 as a backup.

very good cameras easy to use you can easily capture in slow motion mode very practical and a lens with high distance for me the best

honestly one of the best cameras I've every used. great photo and video quality. only downside is the overheating, but has only been a real issue a couple of times when shooting outside int eh heat

This camera is an amazing peice of technology. I am replacing a digital SLR's and HD Pro-video camera with the lightweight, versatile R5. The image quality is even better than expected.

Moving back to Canon from fuji after a long pause. Canon R5 is amazing cam for the price, it ticks all the bells and whistles. Fast Autofocus with beautiful Colors. Feels so great in hands

I’ve owned 6 Canon cameras before I purchased this camera. This is a great camera. The most important features for me are 12/20 frames/sec, 5 axis Ibis, 45 megapixel sensor and great auto focus with animal eye focus.

I haven't done a major shoot with it yet but just playing around I'm already impressed. The eye focus locks right on and stays there. Image quality is great. Can't wait to go on a trip with it.

If you are hesitant, dont be! I LOVE thid camera do much! Its a power house in a tiny body! Auto focus is very fast and accurate! Crystal clear images! Couldnt be happier with my purchase!

Absolutely love this camera. I went from an R7 to this R5 for the full frame sensor. Pictures are clean, great megapixel and ya not too heavy of a camera. It’s super fast with uploading photos straight to my camera after sessions. The two card slot is always a plus and I’ve had zero issues with this camera. Highly recommended to those who love quality!

The best mirrorless camera on the market. The focusing system works flawlessly, the resolution is great and the menu is easy to use for previous Canon users.

Absolutely amazing camera, coming from a 5d4 and the eos R, the R5 is a perfect blend of the newer technology with mirrorless and the familiarity of the layout and feel of the 5d cameras. Got to use it during a wedding last weekend and was thoroughly blown away. 11 out of 10 recommend.

An amazing camera. It is very easy to handle and perfect for any type of photography. Easy purchase, a lil charge and took over 1,000 photos straight out of the box. Couldn't have asked anything better.

Great camera that 'replaces' my older 5D Mark III. Quality of images, image stabilization and accuracy & speed of focus system is awesome. The only downsides are the high price and the time I'm going to have to invest to learn how to use all those features.

WOW! I purchased the R8, kept it for 2 weeks and decided to return it for the R5. Boy, was I glad i did. This camera has taken my photography to the next level. Sure, it's twice the cost and there is A LOT to learn and many menues to navigate. Once you understand, it's a WONDERFUL camear. Not a "started" in the least. I'm so happy i moved up from my canon 7D DSLR... to mirrorless..
