The animal eye autofocus on this camera is a game changer

Great camera, upgraded from a 5D mkIII and couldn't be happier, I love the evf and will only keep the old 5D as a backup.

Sometimes I see Err70 when I use it, but overall it is amazing with my RF 28-70.

This camera is Canon’s newest mirror less at least until the R3 is released. If you only have EF lenses you must buy an adapter. Am waiting to receive since they were on back order. You will also need a CFExpress card which is different from the CF cards from prior cameras. This also means a card reader for the CFExpress card. So making the change is more than just the camera. I borrowed a R6 recently and was impressed with the clear focusing on moving animals.

I am glad I upgraded to mirrorless. My EF lenses are working well with the adapter but I look forward to upgrading to RF lenses. AF is great. I wanted the silent electronic shutter for wildlife and expect that to improve my access to the birds.

Need to keep discovering and practicing. Happy with this product!

I love my Canon R5. The facial recognition focal points are next level, and the size of raw files are incredible.

I've had several Canon dslrs over the years. This thing is a significant leap. You can feel safe purchasing canon's mirrorless lenses too, the optics are superb and I'm sure they will hold up well on higher megapixel bodies in the future.

The Canon R5 really lives up to the hype! It is well-made and durable, intuitive, and a superb photographic tool. Being a nature photographer, I have been very impressed by the animal eye focus. I can’t wait until spring to really take it into the field.

This thing is absolute magic. It's fast, quiet, and perfect. All the features are useful and it works on all levels from easy to manual. If you're thinking of joining the mirrorless revolution, this is the way to do it. Well done Canon.

Defective both camera unit and battery this has been a complete hassle for the Canon company as they don't have a replacement battery. Canon did great with the repair only thing is... I can use my camera because they haven't sent the battery before they have no stock.

We have dived into the world of mirrorless as wedding photographers and I can say with full confidence, it will be hard to step back. Great camera body that still has the feel of a professional camera.

I’ve used every camera system and I’ve ended up here. Having the processor of a more expensive camera (1DXMKIII) coupled with a 45mp sensor that shoots as fast as sports cameras makes this thing a beast.
