Overall, the Canon R5 is a top-of-the-line camera that offers excellent image quality, impressive video capabilities, and a wide range of features for both still and video shooters. It is definitely worth considering for any photographer or videographer looking for a high-end camera.

This camera replaced my 5D MKIV. It is undeniably an upgrade on paper, and in experience I would make the purchase again. My one complaint is that even after a few months of use, not all the controls are as intuitive as they were on the 5D MKIV, especially as it relates to video. Nonetheless, it is an absolute monster of a camera.

Great camera. Switched from a Sony A7riii to an Canon R5. Don’t know what took me so long. Tack sharp photos. Currently have the 24-105 F4 and 50 1.8 along with some EF glass. And yes even with the EF adapter the photos are still sharp.

Light and powerful little thing ,migrating to mirrorless is the best when it comes to my work . Camera is great ,the one thing is the battery lasts way less time then prior systems ,aside from that , great purchase ..

Flawless image quality, love the facial tracking. Purchased an adapter ring for EF lenses and it’s been a solid combo.

As a Nikon shooter for 40 years, Sony for a few, this Canon is easily the most well-rounded camera I have ever worked with. The AF is far better than Nikon's Z7II and easier to customize than Sony's A7RIV/A9. Great lenses and a good flash system make it a great work kit. GET the 24-105/4L with the body, you won't be sorry.

This camera is amazing! Almost too amazing. I photographed a cocktail drink from 15 feet away and could zoom in and see a fingerprint on the glass. Unreal. Came with the latest firmware that fixes the heat issue. Smaller than my previous 5Ds with much better quality.

I'm still learning all the features to this great camera. I love cannon and will always buy a cannon. When you take a photo, you will see what will come out when developing. So very excited to have this camera.

I use an A9 and A7R IV and this is an incredible camera. This may just replace both. Still deciding. The lenses cost a ton but seem to be worth it. The auto focus has matched the Sony system for now. Sony need to work on the auto focus system, never thought I would say that.

Such a great camera. But has two big issues. 1. After investing over $4000 you have to invest other $500 for cfexpress card, which it’s allowed you to shoot in 4K raw,8K,and 120pfs. Otherwise you can’t use your old SD card or new one. 2. Another big issue is Overheat. After shooting 4k 120pfs or 8K you have to turn off the camera and wait at least 10min to cool down it. I hope these information will help you to think again before you investing, and hope the canon will fix these problems ASAP.

An amazing camera. It is very easy to handle and perfect for any type of photography. Easy purchase, a lil charge and took over 1,000 photos straight out of the box. Couldn't have asked anything better.

Best low light camera I have ever used and image quality is top notch, it allows to crop the picture without loosing the resolution. 4K 120FPS video allows to capture slow motion its like butter smooth

I was hesitate to get my R5 the first time because of the overheating posts everywhere but I made the big right decision to own one. I used it to shoot event a couple times now since I got it on Sept 23 this year and never see any weird messages pop on the screen. Oh man...the eyes focus is a killer on the R5..I never miss a single sharp shot.

Choosing to upgrade from a Cannon 5D III to the R5 was a great choice for a great price! The R5 has met all my expectations in picture quality, low light and action performance, and improved video quality.

I'm glad Canon finally came up with a mirrorless camera to match the quality of is lenses. The autofocus is tenacious at sticking to a subject. The camera also just feels great in the hand. That was really my only complaint about the Sonys. They never quite fit my hand right.

This is a phenomenal camera but it offers far more than most people need! Unless you are a professional shooter or perhaps advanced hobbyist you will never have a need for all it has to offer! The R6 will serve the needs of most - unless you are printing billboards or heavily cropping images.
