I am glad I upgraded to mirrorless. My EF lenses are working well with the adapter but I look forward to upgrading to RF lenses. AF is great. I wanted the silent electronic shutter for wildlife and expect that to improve my access to the birds.

Great camera, upgraded from a 5D mkIII and couldn't be happier, I love the evf and will only keep the old 5D as a backup.

The Canon R5 really lives up to the hype! It is well-made and durable, intuitive, and a superb photographic tool. Being a nature photographer, I have been very impressed by the animal eye focus. I can’t wait until spring to really take it into the field.

I've had several Canon dslrs over the years. This thing is a significant leap. You can feel safe purchasing canon's mirrorless lenses too, the optics are superb and I'm sure they will hold up well on higher megapixel bodies in the future.

This thing is absolute magic. It's fast, quiet, and perfect. All the features are useful and it works on all levels from easy to manual. If you're thinking of joining the mirrorless revolution, this is the way to do it. Well done Canon.

We have dived into the world of mirrorless as wedding photographers and I can say with full confidence, it will be hard to step back. Great camera body that still has the feel of a professional camera.

I’ve used every camera system and I’ve ended up here. Having the processor of a more expensive camera (1DXMKIII) coupled with a 45mp sensor that shoots as fast as sports cameras makes this thing a beast.

[Employee of bestbuy] The versatility of this camera is crazy. I typically pair this camera with the RF 24-70 and it works like a DREAM!

Had no problems with 8k shooting at all. Shot for 40min+ Did have an issue with 4K shooting though but it might be the card used as it stated that I needed a faster Sd card

Great camera features for the price. Currently using this and the Canon 5D Mark iv. The R5 is a much better tool for portraits due to eye AF and the swivel screen.

Not sure if my issues are only for the particular unit I bought but if shooting rapidly with a Tamron EF 24-70 g2 I get a lot of "error 70" lockups, but it could be that a UHS-II SD card is needed as I don't have this issue on my R6.
