Great camera. I have a T5I also but when doing a 5 or 6 mile hike with the 55 to 250 lens got to heavy after about 3 or 4 miles so I bought this and it made a world of difference. It works just as well and just as fast as the T5I.

This camera is lightweight and portable so it's easy to tote around. Takes great pictures.

I will probably never use the full features of this camera, as I'm pretty camera illiterate even if I took a class.....would probably forget everything. But, I am loving the basic functions I have been using. Easy to use. Great starter dslr

once you understand what does what, your good. Great camera, quality is superb. Low light shots w.o flash possible with very little shutter bounce. The stablizers in the lenses are superior. Lots of online support from cannon and free tutorials on line as well.

I am stepping up from a point & shoot camera and wanted something that was easy to use but took great photos. So far I am very pleased with this camera. It is the perfect size, not too big or too heavy, making it nice and easy to handle. The picture quality is great and having the extra lens is a bonus. I am happy that it came with a case, too.

Great camera- only drawback in taking business photos. If the business (mostly big industry plants)is dark inside the flash is not providing enough light for a great photo.

I ordered this camera online and picked it up at my local Best Buy. Everything was ready to go and the staff explained the features of the camera to me as well.

I want a camera that takes great pics, but that I don't have to spend lot's of time with the settings, this is it.

Opened my package and following directions inserted the battery and received an error message. Called Canon and went through some steps with them and they told me to take the camera to Best Buy and see if they could make it work. If not they wanted me to send it back to Canon to be repaired. I never even got to take a shot. Best Buy could not resolve the issue and they returned my purchase. I looked up the error code an saw there were many hits on the same problem. So why would I get another if I had the problem and might have it again with another. Was looking forward to trying the Canon since I always buy Nikon. But, I'm sticking with my Nikons.

This camera is a great entry level DLSR. Since I finally am moving from film photography to digital, I was reviewing a great number of Canon models as I have always had Canon equipment. Initially I was looking at the higher end partial and full frame models but decided that the Rebel SL1 had all the features I needed to learn digital photography. One can always upgrade at a later date. The bundle with the 18 - 55mm and 75 - 300mm allowed me to be up and running quickly.

After studying cameras I already knew what one I wanted before going to Best Buy to purchase. The colleague that helped me at the Holland Store showed me the bundle pack at a great price..only to find out they were out of them. He called other stores and I went to the Toledo store to purchase. That salesperson was not as helpful, actually telling me they had none. He finally found them. Love the camera...not a pro, but pics look professional.
