I bought the camera for familiar use. I will have to learn to use it. But i think it will be good.

Love this thing. Only wish it had a flip screen so you can see it when filming.

I purchased this camera a few weeks ago and instantly fell in love. I recently got back into photography and decided to purchase my first DSLR. What I like the about the SL1 compared to the T5 is that it is lightweight and fits my hands perfectly, but you do not lose out on quality. This camera deal came with the body, a 18-55mm lens, and a 75-300mm lens and a bag. It was on a decent sale and with protection plan. the whole package totaled under $700.00. If it was not on sale it would be closer to the 1000.00 mark. I recommend this to any hobbyist beginning, or to someone with small hands like myself, haha! I usually get anxious with making large purchases, but I can happily say that it was totally worth it!

The camera has so many features I have not been able to try yet.

We got this camera on sale for $500 and it was a bargain! with the 2 lenses and the camera case, it was perfect for our trip to Glacier National Park. We wished we had a better zoom lens, but that was just personal preference. This camera takes great pictures and is significantly lighter than other similar cameras, which makes it nice for hiking (through Glacier for example) or road trips etc. Its not too small to be comfortable to hold and has awesome auto-settings (for me) and adjustable settings (for my husband who actually knows what he is doing).

After waiting years and years for the right deal at the right time, I finally bought my 1st SLR. This package was a great deal. The camera bag is amazingly protective, everything fits inside. The camera is light, super-light as it describes. I love that I don't have to lug around a heavy camera. The strap is comfortable. I had it out of the box quickly and started playing with it the day it arrived.I haven't used the larger lens yet. It's winter in Iowa and not the best weather for outdoor photos. I'm sure I will get ample use of this camera. I'm quite pleased overall with this purchase.

This was my first DSLR of sorts and I had great experience taking pictures of even the silliest of things at home. I can't wait to take pictures with this during my next outing. My sister borrowed it for jewelry photography and she liked the camera a lot too.

I ordered this set to start filming YouTube videos. It has great quality , and takes marvelous photos. This is the best option so now all you have to do is find different lenses for the camera to fit your personal needs

I purchased this package for the unbelievable sale price and for it's the world's smallest SLR. Love it!

I recently picked up a SL1 for every day and travel use as a supplement to my full-size DSLR. The SL1 is a very compact package when paired with the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 or EF 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens, yet still provides dslr image quality and autofocus speed. I considered buying a Canon M series camera, but the SL1's optical viewfinder, flash hotshoe, and ability to use my EF and EF-S lenses without an adapter helped me make up my decision. I find myself taking the SL1 with me when I otherwise would have left my (full size) dslr at home. This has enabled me to take more candid photos of my kids that are significantly higher quality than a point and shoot or my cellphone. The EF-S 18-55 STM is a surprisingly good lens for being a kit lens. The 75-300 is disappointing and I recommend purchasing the EF-S 55-250 or EF 70-200 when you are able to. I also recommend buying an external flash, such as the Canon 430ex III.

Great camera for beginners. Extra lens purchase is great for zooming.
