Great camera for a beginner

The reason I picked this camera is for the same reason. She refuses to give up her point and shoot so I am using the Canon - EOS Rebel T6 DSLR. And I really like it! You can actually compose a picture outside when the sun is shining!

I wanted a camera that would give pictures of good quality and detail, and take multiple frames in succession. The camera does not meet my expectations for quickness and is rather heavy especially while trying to focus. This is just my opinion and my expectations may have been set too high.
