I was used to a point and shoot camera (which I still love and use a LOT) but decided it was time to also get back into a camera with more options for when we retire and hopefully do more traveling. This will be a camera 'along with' my compact camera, as this Canon is definitely heavier and more chunky to maneuver. I used to have a DSLR camera in years past and so I had 'some' knowledge of how to begin to use this camera. But there are so many options that it would be 'very' helpful to have some training on how to utilize all it has to offer. I was told they used to include a DVD on how to use this product, but when I called the store they said they no longer do so. We have had point and shoot Canons in the past so we are trusting this is another of their great products. Now we just need to discover all it has to offer us : ))) Good problem to have, I guess. Thanks Canon!

My wife learned about this camera package just before Christmas and because of all the exciting features and possibilities, she wished that she might get one someday. She was certainly surprised when she opened her gift and found her dream camera ! With the two lenses--55mm and 300 mm , and the camera bag, she is in for years of enjoyment and quality pictures.

This a great camera, have not had it long, still learning how to operate it. I do know that it takes beautiful picture, I liked the ideal of not having to purchase replacement batteries always. I would certainly recommend this camera to a friend
