I bought this for an event where we couldn't have phones. I just wanted a camera that was easy to use and took great pictures. This gave me both, and I definitely would recommend it to a new user.

Easy to use starter camera. Capable of producing some great shots. Video capabilities are a bit lacking. Ultimately too bulky compared to a modern phone with amazing smart photography so the days are really numbered.

A great camera and not expensive for what you get. Has all the bells and whistles of much more expensive cameras, but at half the price. Highly recommended.

My son has become an avid photographer (jr in high school and taking AP Photography class) and decided to gift him his first DSLR camera. He loves it! Easy to sue, lightweight and he takes it everywhere. Highly recommend for a first time camera!

Bought for my wife and she loves it. Some of the added things like transferring directly to her phone and such were things she was jacked about. She takes this thing everywhere and is constantly taking pictures. Great investment.

The Canon EOS Rebel T7 is a solid entry-level DSLR that can serve well in basic environments. Built-in Wi-Fi and NFC are useful for quick transfers and remote control via Canon’s app, especially in mobile production setups. The only down-side I would mention that they fail to mention is in order to use the software for remote shooting, This camera requires a data cable. I have a Canon M50 also that doesn't require it but I guess that's where the price tag comes into play. Overall a great camera to get yourself into learning DSLR.

The Canon EOS Rebel T7 is an excellent entry-level DSLR, especially for beginners or hobbyists who want to step up from a smartphone or compact camera. It offers solid image quality, accessible controls, and the flexibility of Canon’s EF/EF-S lens ecosystem — all at a very competitive price point.

Did a photography class at school and wanted to follow along more at home and into the future. Got this camera because it was the same line of cameras we used in class. Works wonderful. I now primarily use it as a webcam and it is amazing. Probably better ones for the cost out there now but it's a great intro DSLR camera. can be used to do nearly anything if you have the motivation.

overall it’s a solid entry-level DSLR for beginners who want to step up from smartphone photography. The camera delivers very good image quality thanks to its 24MP APS-C sensor, and the included 18-55mm lens is versatile enough for everyday use, portraits, and travel photos.

This is definitely a learning experience and a challenge for a person used to using a cell phone to take photos. I was ready to throw it the first day, but I am slowly getting used to it and teaching myself how to use it. I wish the manual that came with it was larger print and that the English instructions were in front. First photos I actually took and uploaded were Christmas photos with my grandkids and I was happy with the quality. It will take some time, but I feel I will be happy with this purchase as I continue to learn its features. Battery seems to last long when not in use, but not yet sure about when actively using camera.
