At first I was a bit skeptical, but after playing with it for awhile it actually took me by surprise. You can get tons of 3rd party lenses for this camera as well. Overall very happy with this camera.

This camera was recommended by my sister that is a photographer. This is a good entry point that has quite of bit of features beyond a typical point and shoot. As she made clear, the magic is in the lens and the provide lens is adequate for up close pictures. Very high resolution. When paired with a quality lens this camera really shines. I definitely recommend to anyone ready to start getting more serious about photography.
