Once the very vague instructions were navigated, the printer is running as I hoped it would before a two hour connection/test challenge.

good printer still. cartridge says counterfeit

It doesn't say but it comes with an ink cartridge. A little tricky to setup. I was tired of ink jet printers where the ink dried up if you didn't use them for awhile.
