After my previous Brother laser printer stopped working properly--it was always hit and miss with quality and jamming--I sought a new black-and-white printer for my business needs. Setup was a breeze with zero issues whatsoever getting it updated and communicating with my MacBook Pro. (Just a heads up: if you're using this printer to print labels, you WILL have to tweak some of the print settings--particularly the paper type--to get the printer to print onto the paper properly.) My labels are now better than ever with none of the issues I had with my previous printer. It prints perfectly EVERY time with no jamming issues whatsoever. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a small business looking for a step-above your average printer.

I had a small printer and its cartridges ran out quickly and I decided to buy this one from Canon! In addition to doing absolutely everything, it is easy to use, the toner is for at least 1200 prints and the quality of prints, copies and scanning are perfect, much smoother and clearer!

This printer is fantastic! I had it up and running within 15 minutes. Its a very fast printer and does not use up a lot of toner either. I moved away from HP products and I'm very pleased with this Canon.

Nearly 'plug 'n Play, actually. Not advertised as such, but after I plugged it into power, plugged in the USB cable, turned it on... Voila! Works fine! Very Happy with it.

This printer forced me written a negative review. The Canon - imageCLASS MF455dw is the worst printer I've ever used. Here are just a few of the problems I've encountered: The printer constantly goes to sleep. I have to manually wake it up from sleep mode every time I want to print something. This is incredibly frustrating, especially if I need to print something urgently. The print speed slows down significantly after about 10 pages. This happens even when printing simple text documents. The print is blurry. Even when using new cartridges, the print is blurry. I've tried to troubleshoot these problems, but nothing has worked. I've already regretted buying this printer and I advise you not to do the same. I hope my review helps you avoid buying this awful printer.

Great printer, I work with a similar model the Imageclass D1620 at my office. That model was great for my office work but I needed something for my home office and this unit is great, plus it offers faxing. Great printer at a great price. Thx, BB.

Works pretty good. It goes to sleep and doesn't wake up at odd times. There must have been a software update on either the printer or my Mac because it used to not wake up when I tried to print from my Mac and I had to manually wake it up (by pressing the start button), but now it appears to wake up and print most of the time. I have no idea why it does this. This issue doesn't appear to be a problem on my PC, but I'm running different programs on the PC compared to Office for the Mac. Otherwise print quality is good, It's a bit noisy when it starts up - which surprises one of our dogs, I haven't tried to compatible cartridges yet. We'll see how those work. The compatible cartridges are about 25% of the cost of the Canon cartridges.

Excellent black and white printer. Easy to get up and running. Bought the extra 500 sheet tray and it automatically recognized it. Use smaller tray for letter, larger for legal and the flip down tray for envelopes. Scanner and copier are nice add ons and work well.

Amazing laser jet printer. My Mom is 82 and does not use the printer much, but there are times she does need a fax or printer, or copier. This is black print only, but what a great machine. Prints very fast. Wireless connection. No more blocked ink nozzles from this annoying ink machines. The print is clear and crisp. And I got this machine on sale for $100.00 off. It was a no brainer from reading the reviews. And every review is correct. Great machine, a real work horse. You won’t go wrong with this copier.

The set up was very easy. I like the cartridge does need the replaced until 3000. The scan setup is an issue.

Just got it yesterday and I want to tear my hair out. It prints as long as the printer is awake. It does not print if it's in sleep mode, and the only way to wake it is for me to go to the printer and press a button. I can print and scan remotely from my computer but I cannot feed documents and hit scan because it cannot connect to my computer. The manual is pretty useless. At first I couldn't even get it to scan at all but I stumbled on the right settings. Maybe I'm an idiot or maybe the software sucks. Could be both. Where, WHERE CAN I GET SOME HELP?

The Canon ImageClass mf455DW. Thi is best printer I have had. It is very easy to operate, prints very well and fast ( I did 150 copies in about 3 minutes. I found it easy for me to make copies and the screen was easy to understand. After 2 other models over the past 2+ years, this is by far the best.

I had a lot of angst about purchasing a new printer. I wanted one that would print with my Iphone/pad. I researched a lot of printers and watched You Tube videos. I took a chance on this Canon hoping it would be as easy as it looked to hook up to wifi and it was. Had it up and running in 10 minutes. Prints very fast and copies are very clear. Highly recommend.

My office staff hates this unit. It does not easily sense finger tips causing the user to repeatedly push she same button multiple times before there is input recognition. There were no operation instructions included in the box. We will return this unit for something that is easy to use. I am a Canon fan, but I do not recommend the MF455.

Before I purchase this printer I bought an Epson and a Brother printer. I returned both of them. The canon printer is easier to use and better quality print and better quality scannned docs. I like it and it has a lot of options.
