Bought this printer when it was the deal of the day for $200. Can't find a 3 in 1 color laser printer for such a great price. The printer is heavy, but the quality it prints is amazing.

I am a small business that makes charms and I got this printer thinking it would be easy to set up but however it did not connect to my computer. It took me and my family hours to set it up because the instructions were not easily understandable and would not connect to our computers and other devices. After all that the printer is great and prints very pretty pictures and templates. This printer is good for small business and after the hassle of connecting to our devices it prints smoothly now. I am happy with this product other then set up.

    2 yrs and the truth

First 11 months were 4.5 stars. The .5 loss is because with all the software and assistance, I cannot get the Cannon Utility software to communicate from the scanner to my laptop. 2 years later, the device chooses when it wants to print: We may reset the printer to get it to work, it may work on it's own, I've had to take it off the sleep mode to ensure it prints, it will say it can't see the network or states that the IP address has changed. Still can't see my computer whatsoever. Overall, it was great when it was new, but it has revealed it's truthful operation. It has saved us lots of money in ink vs the inkjets that were wasting our money with very little printing. At this moment, disappointed is the word I'd call it.

    Works Great

I did quite a bit of research on finding the right printer/copier for our family & especially my son who is going into high school. They had a great sale, so I bought it. The only negative thing was, the instructions are not that clear & took us awhile to set it up. Had to do some research for proper hook up. But so far, so good. It works great & we're able to print from our computers and phones.

So far, so very good. I wanted/needed a all-in-one printer/scanner/copier and Canon always seems to work for me. I've had this installed for the past month and it has performed flawlessly. Last night I finally connected it to my home wireless network and it was pretty much a painless procedure. It is so nice to print from all over the house now from every mobile device and every computer. Color needs adjustment but its not like I bought this for excellent photography prints. I have another printer already for that job. It would be nicest of all if I could get the best attributes of each of these printers in one package but for what I'm asking of this piece of equipment I cannot be more impressed. Well done, Canon.

    Worst Canon Printer I've Owned

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Let me start with the likes: it's fast, good quality and Canon, What I didn't like: -Continuous prompting before doing anything (check the paper. is it the right size? which tray? Ok, I'll print now.) -lack of custom paper support. Setting custom paper sizes is not intuitive and requires more work than an average user will want to do. -gradually slowing down with print jobs. I'll start a job printing 10 envelopes. It's fast. Really fast. By the time I've run the same job 10 times, it's SLOW. REALLY SLOW. -default setting is print in ugly mode. Seems to be set to not print graphics by default. As a result, my initial flyers looked horrible. If I could, I would return it.

I use it for personal office, does everything I need in a printer - laser, color laser, automatic scanner, copier to computer or email etc. I don't need to print on 2 sides of the same paper (duplex) and don't need fax so not having those functions didnt bother me. Runs wireless to my MacBook without problems. Good deal for $199. It's heavy but not an issue unless you need to take it with you everywhere. Can get replacement cartridges on Amazon.

Bought this with the understanding it was "all in 1". Sadly mistaken. Doesn't include fax. Doesn't double sided print. Only one tray. Loud. Slow. Looking to sell it and buy something better. Only pro is that it's a color laser printer.

USELESS Canon - imageClass MF624Cw Wireless Color

I was really excited about purchasing my first color laser all in one. The unit appeared to have what I was looking for. It took 2 people to pull the unit out of the box. Salesmen said it was roughly 80 Ibs. I liked the pull out tray that has all the toner cartridges. Then I go to load paper in the front pull out tray and all I can say is...WTF? Tray only holds 100 sheet of paper!! I go through a case of paper within a month, I can picture myself getting up and down up and down just to refill paper...lol Oh! Man what a disappointment!!

Not the fastest printer on the planet, but it works really well. If you are looking for fax make sure you DO NOT buy this unit. The next model up does.

    Died, and then died again

Had problems within a month of purchase. Canon replaced it with a refurbished unit. I called to complain about noises that the "new" unit was making - they said not to worry. A year and half later - that is dead too. I use this at home and have printed less than 1000 pages. Only option is to lug this heavy unit 40 miles to have it diagnosed. Thanks to Citibank - I have purchase protection on all my purchases. Strongly recommend getting purchase protection or BestBuy extended warranty. This goes out in the trash next week and I'm never buying a Canon again. By the way - tech support is only M-F and you better keep your expectations at the absolute minimum.

This piece of junk has been a disaster since day one when the delivery driver failed to bother taking it up the stairs to my apartment. That fiasco aside. This thing is almost impossible to set up WiFi on given the lousy software. Copying does not work. I used the feeding tray and the paper just rolled through and the screen registered ...processing...... and nothing is printed. If you cancel, it says cancelling.............. and will sit there cancelling until you unplug the useless machine. A waste of money ..... and forget about customer service I waited for 30mins listening to terrible music without getting to speak with a support rep. What a disappointment. STAY AWAY FROM THIS NONSENSE!

    Not intuitive especially for scanning

One of the main reasons I bought this product was for scanning and copying for my home business. The software and interface is extremely unclear and I've pretty much given up on it. It won't even copy anymore - it gets stuck on "Processing." I wish I could return it.
