For the cost I was expecting a state of the art product. The print quality is ok for a laser and once I watched a couple of YouTube videos I figured out how to make the scan to email feature work. But this printer’s scanner utility does not match up to a lower priced ink jet’s scanner utility. I had a HP multifunction inkjet-the scanner utility was outstanding. I was able to see the pages and delete them out and replace them without starting the scan all over again. It was very user friendly. This is a larger machine 3x the cost and the scanner utility is useless. You are able to preview the pages in a little box but that’s about it. If you are scanning a large group of papers you will not be able to use the scan to email feature unless you want to scan in groups and then use an Adobe program to merge them. Double the work. Please Canon upgrade the utility so is could be useful and make your manual user friendly while your at it, not everyone is an IT expert!

Have had this printer for 2 years and hasn't worked properly since day 1. Have Best Buy protection but the printer is too darn heavy and large to take it to the nearest Best Buy Store to return it (it was delivered to us).

The documentation that was provided with this printer was weak at best. I set up Airprint on various Apple devices, which worked out fine. I then set up my Macbook laptops. The printer worked for a few hours. Then none of the devices would work with the printer. I re-set up the Apple devices and then the Macbook's. The next day, all of the devices could no longer access the printer. I then researched this Canon printer further on the internet and found that it does not support Mac OS. However one could allegedly manually input the Printer IP address and the Printer would function with MacOS laptops. Once again I reset all of the devices to link to the printer. Once again a couple of hours later the printer would not work. This was likely a defective printer that periodically lost its memory. However, the lack of MacOS support is alarming. I returned the Canon and bought a Brother, which claims it supports MacOS.

Would have loved to give it 5 stars but the set up was a little confusing. Felt like the instructions that came with the printer were not quite enough and when trying to read the manual online it was an overwhelming amount of information to try to get through. I ended up calling support cause I was having a hard time staying online with the wireless LAN and they were able to assist with getting me a more stable connection by using the IP address. Havent had any issues since and this works fabulously

The printer arrived on time and was delivered to our porch. The only comment I have is the trouble it is to get an email receipt for online purchase orders. I must have spent an hour on the phone to talk with a representative on the order. The mobile app did not have a corresponding place to click to accounts to get the information and had to wait to get home to get on computer to get the email. The printer was not damaged when it arrived and is being given as a gift to be opened at Christmas.

I purchased this printer for my business use, and the speed of it is what I was expecting. In goes into energy saving mode when not in use. I highly recommend this printer for purchase.

Nice printer but not thrilled with toner cartridges that came with it . I bought refills and found it was good that I did as the starter cartridges didn’t last a month. I put in another black cartridge this week . Even though I have toner in the cartridge, it says end of life and must replace . I can shake the cartridge and hear it . What a scam that they have chips that only allow it to be used for so many pages and then whether it’s empty or not , I must replace expensive toner

Pros: Excellent, crisp prints and scans. Can print directly from my phone and tablet Cons: Size: this thing is enormous Refuses to fax. Picks up the phone, hears a dial tone and then hangs up. Turns itself on every time the phone rings. Uses a special adapter (“dust cover”), provided, if loaded with legal size paper. Expensive toner replacement. Over $800 for a complete set of toners.

Upgraded to the newer version. Hoping that, in time, it's just as reliable as the older version.

Very good multi-function printer. Colored pictures are crisp and clear. Only knock on this is the cost of replacement toner cartridges.

Quality and speed. Only major con is the price of toner is more than the printer. But that is the case for most laser printers.

I switched from an epson printer. A cheap ink jet because the ink had dried and was causing certain colors to not print. Even after ordering the cleaning solution and cleaning the printer it never would peint clear again. Always looked blurry. Since I mainly use the printer for business I decided to switch to a color laser jet printer for the life expectancy of the toner. Printer works flawlessly. Super crisp, and not blurry at all. Set up was easy. Although I did have to install the CD to get the printer to work properly. I kept getting an error where it would make me select the tray on the printer whenever I would hit print from my computer. (It was a software issue when downloaded from the internet) I print from my phone as well. No issues and was very easy to set up. I print from my shop all the time and come home to have it all printed and waiting for me. So far it is a fantastic printer.

This is a great laser jet color printer. The printing is really fast and the double sided print and scan option is super helpful when you like to save on paper. I’ve only had this model for a month without issues but if there is any problems I will update.

Perfect addition for my home office. Covid limitations and working from home has its disadvantages, like stuck with inkjet sloppy print options. Not anymore!! This machine rocks- auto duplex, wifi, three in one.... why did I ever hesitate!

So far so good. Easy setup and use. Have not had the opportunity to stress it's capabilities as of this review.

Couldn’t be happier with this printer. I’ve gone through so many cheap printers in my day, I decided to get a high end one. So happy I made this decision. Also purchased warranty for additional protection in case things go wrong.

Wow is all I can say about this printer! I bought it for college. Since covid and being basically virtual I needed something with good quality and ability to be fast since I’m not patient. And I got an amazing deal of this!

Image Capture Fast and accurate, some cropping around the edges during capture. Quick dual sided capture with a single pass. The color pictures are washed out when printed but then it isn't a photo printed so no problem there. Fast print, trouble free fax receives when unattended. Space required behind printer is troublesome I had to rearrange that corner of the room to make due, just have to pull the stand 4 inches when I am ready to use that option.. All in all I am very happy with this A-I-O

I haven’t printed anything high volume or on heavier paper yet, but so far I’m happy with the printer. It seems to be of good quality. It was a bit complicated to set up with my Mac equipment though, it’s definitely optimized more for pc.

This is a high quality printer and is closer to an office item than a personal one. My one criticism is it's overly complicated and set up. I had issues with color fidelity and spent quite a bit of time trying to improve it with little success. I contacted Canon tech support and all issues were corrected quickly and the color reproduction is very acceptable. I was able to get this on sale and I'm glad I did. Except for the difficulty I've described, I'd give it 5 stars.
