    Pics you can hold!

Technology comes full circle! Not sure why it is but I think it’s really cool to have an actual picture you can hold. I was looking at some of the cameras that use the zinc technology , but thought this was a better route since my cellphone is a better camera. Every aspect of using this is very simple, from the app to printing once you take a pic or choosing one you already have. I think this would be a great thing for parties, family reunions or anything like that. Everyone could have a picture to take with them and keep. My only gripe is once it’s connected to one device via Bluetooth it has to be disconnected or reset before it will work with another. Overall though I think it’s a solid value and think it’s really cool to see actually photos making a comeback in this digital age.

    FUN LITTLE PHOTO PRINTER

At first I thought a little photo printer would be pretty cool just for messing around. Then after printing the first few photos I realized all the possible uses. I love several things about this printer, but first let me start with the design. It is small and sleek and you can take it anywhere. The unit is completely smooth and flat with no buttons or levers sticking out. Very nice. It is also is super quiet. It hardly makes any noise when printing, just very smooth operation. The next thing I love about this is the fact that you do not have to buy ink. The paper has special ink built in and the printer just prints it like magic. The quality of the photos is very surprising. They are not high glossy or high contrast like ones you would print at a store or even on your full size printer. They are only about 2x3" and lower resolution, but not bad quality at all. They are small and fun. I then used this for my daughter's 10th birthday party. We let every child take home a picture they took with the birthday girl. I even think the picture back is adhesive. The girls all had a blast! Another cool feature is the app. It lets you print the photos directly off the app, very easy. But is also lets you add borders and even make a picture made up of 4 small photos. It is super cool. Overall I love this little printer and will end up getting great use. I would highly recommend to anyone with kids or who just likes to have fun handing out fun photos.

    Better Than Expected

I do like this item and it is definitely better than I expected. The pictures come out looking pretty much exactly like they do on my phone. It connected easily to my phone via bluetooth. I had two problems during setup, however, which is why I gave it 4 stars. First, it does not tell you the name of the app you need to download so I downloaded the wrong app the first time. Second, the directions were not exactly clear about how to open the item to load the printer paper. It didn't take too long to figure out but still I wish the directions were more clear. Overall, though, it is a good item that I would recommend to others.

    Easy, Fast & Fun

Made the decision to purchase the Ivy as I have both a Canon DSLR and the Selphy printer. Didn't want to carry a bulky Instamax on my upcoming vacation but wanted to be able to print photos for my travel journal on the go. This product exceeded my expectations. First off it's small and light, slightly wider than my phone but easily portable. Setup was incredibly easy, open the box, connect the charger, download the app and follow 5 simple steps. The frame and photo enhancement options are very easy to use and a lot of fun. Add effects, text, edit colors etc. Amazing what you can do with the photo before you print. Great insta-print feature allows you to take a photo and immediately print. Takes about 30 seconds to print. But best of all is the quality. The pictures are sharp and clear with good color. If you love crafting, scrapbooking, journaling etc. this is a must have.

    A Cute Tiny Printer!

Technology is pretty amazing. Here's a tiny printer (3 1/4" by 4 3/4") that you can pop in your pocket or purse. It can print any pic in your Smartphone via Bluetooth in less than a minute or you can actually take the picture from the Canon software. The colors were realistic and pretty close to the original picture. You download the printer software to your phone by scanning the bar code on the enclosed card. All the instructions you need are then on that software. I got nervous when it took awhile to find the printer but soon all was good. I selected a pic that was already in my "gallery" and touched the print icon. The little printer started whirring. I got nervous AGAIN when a blue card came out instead of the picture, but that's normal, the blue card is used to calibrate the printer and immediately following, my picture slowly emerged from the printer. Only a few more comments are needed. For what it is, the printer works great. Realize that the pictures however are TINY, 2" by 3" barely wallet sized. The Ivy comes with a pack of 10 printer sheets. When that's gone it costs 50 cents a sheet in packs of either 20 or 50 sheets. Realizing this, if you think this is something that you might want, you'll be very happy with the Canon Ivy printer.

First off, I have two gripes before I geek out over the tech. The paper size is about 2" x 3 ". It is small, wallet size print. The printer feels like it wants to print 3x5 but settles for 2x3. My second gripe, the app is a mixed bag. Trying to edit a print is not intuitive. When trying to resize text I added, the image kept resizing. When setting the image size with a pinch, it would jump in size when releasing. Best advice, find a editor you like on your phone and start there. Now for the good. The pictures are very crisp. Color is great depending on the source image. I can't believe this is a ink free printer. You connect to your phone via Bluetooth. Any picture you have can be imported. Just remember if editing outside the app, you want a 2:3 ratio on the image. The format is a bit odd, since most displays are larger than the printouts. You can peel and stick your creations. Cool idea. A few things to consider, unless you find the paper on sale, you re looking at spending $.50 per image. Double check to make sure it is a good image. Recommended as long as you know this will be a small format print.

For its size and what it does it is an awesome printer. No ink. No toner. Portable. Prints photos or stickers. Setup was probably the easiest I have experienced. The app however didn't work at first then received an update and viola no issues since.

This is a thermal printer, so don't expect print quality to be on par with an ink-jet or photo kiosk printout. It's light and quick and great for quick prints for friends, lockers, etc. The paper is very versatile and has a peel-off backing to "stick" photos on lockers, mirrors, walls, etc. The paper cost works out to about $0.50 per print, but since it's a thermal printer that's all you have to purchase! It's a great product for someone that's looking for a quick way to print photos on the go!
