    Awesome Business Printer

This printer, by far, has been the best printer I have owned. Most others have failed me in less than 6 months. I have a business and do a lot of printing and this one serves its purpose very well. I love that it has 2 trays for paper and I can put 8x10 in one and 9x11 in the other and keep going without having to stop , remove and replace paper to print on larger sizes.

    Great for just printing.

I have two of these one at home and the other at my office. I purchased it because of the price. Use it only for printing. However I use my branches professional laser printer for scanning since this printer only scans 4 pages at a time. Yes, only 4 pages.

    Printer head problems

Have had this printer 10 months. If you have ink problems you cannot change out the cartridge until it completely runs out. My case it was a new black ink cartridge. Almost two reams of paper used up to empty it. Now have to do a deep clean of the printer head every time I try to print out in text only. Runs through ink quickly. I definitely would not recommend as a daily use printer.

Comes with full ink. Easy set up, fast printing and cost per print is like a penny a sheet.

    Frustrating low quality product

I bought this printer a few days ago. It is going back tomorrow. It constantly hangs up with printer port busy errors and paper size errors. When you can get a page to print the quality is mediocre at best.

Printer is fine until you run out of ink

We had to recalibrate this for $20 then it ate up all the new ink cartridges. You can't empty a cartridge until it's empty - our black was stuck in a loop and wouldn't print and wouldn't allow us to change it out. We had to pay to get it to work. Then lost all our new color ink..This is not good. buy an HP

Does not provide quality output form the scanner

I have use this printer for some time now and I am planing to buy a replacement. There are no printing issues. However scanner does not provide quality output as I expected. Specially if there are pictures with colors the scanning out put produce very dark colors. My old low price Hp printer produce better scanning images than this. In addition to that If I need to print black and white and if other colors are low on ink I have to replace all the cartridges that are low in ink. I will not be able to print with just replacing black even though I wanted to print only in black and white. This increases the cost and as I remember this was not an issue with my old hp printer.

    Buy a different brand!

This is the first and last Canon printer I will ever buy. I'm actually not happy with the blueshirt pushing me to this product either when I was looking at HP's. In just 2 days every time I turn around something else goes wrong with it. It constantly takes itself offline, paper jams are a constant, has a slow reaction time to commands when it does actually work, the paper landing isn't big enough so after a few pages the papers start hitting the floor, and the new style ink isn't that much different than the old cartridge style, that's just a cheap selling point they use. This is my third wireless printer and I should have just stuck with HP or switched to a Epson.

Printer works fine but the ink demands are absolute thievery. I don’t print much- few pages on occasional day but ink runs out within days!

Not a bad printer but scanner SUCKS. Read their support tutorials at link below. The answer for everything is completely uninstall all drivers and re-install. I have had the printer for 6 months and have had to do this on all 3 of our home computers 4 times now. I'm not one to write bad reviews but their software simply does not work.

Will Never Buy Another Canon printer again

This is by far the worst printer I've ever owned. It takes forever to print - often ten minutes or so in standby mode before it even prints. That's if it even prints to begin with. I'm a huge fan of Canon cameras and their other products, but I will never buy another Canon printer again. All around, a sub par, terrible piece of machinery.

    Returned quickly

I returned this printer after spending over two hours trying to set it up. I kept getting an error message stating there was a paper jam. I followed the instructions, turned the computer back on and there was still a paper jam. Not worth the frustration, time and energy. Best Buy was great in taking back the printer.
