    Canon ink cartridges have been dependable. I have tried off brand but have not been satisfied. Also, since I switched to the "high yield " cartridge it actually becomes more cost effective than the off brands.

    The Pixma 245 is the suggested Black Ink Cartridge for my printer. The XL size increases the number of copies before a replacement. Ink is clear and readable on paper. No smears or smudges.
