  • Print approximately 300 pages on a single black ink cartridge* Both cartridges must be installed in the printer and must have ink in them.     Great ink but expensive. People like Costco aren't refilling either. I have a canon iP87300 that has separate tanks by color. I may start using it.

    It would be nice if you can refill the cartridge yourself and reuse it. But the computer chip won't let you do it because the computer chip tells the printer the cartridge is empty even if it is filled.
