    I love this printer and the fact that you can buy the individual cartridge but all ink now days is little,and doesn't last very long.

    XL is the best size to buy, if you do a lot of printing. I prefer to shop at Best Buy, always find the ink I need, the selection is great.

    The regular size ink cartridge runs out faster than expected for the infrequent amount of use. The large one is less frustrating in not getting an "Out of ink" message too quickly.

    You get what you pay for. Canon is proud of their brand. I buy these at BB because of advantages of being an Elite Plus member this year. Have tried knock-offs but they just don't seem to last as long.
