    I have tried the off brand replacement ink and over a short period of time the heads get clogged and the printer is trash. It is well worth the extra cost to by the Cannon brand ink.

    This ink last forever, well unless your always printing pictures. Still as much basic printing as I do I have to only buy ink once in a year. The XL PGBK will last even longer.
