My Grandson needed a printer and this one was perfect for a 14 year old.

I bought the printer as a gift for my grandson. He is starting to take college classes and he loves it!

The printer is great and works well. I will recommend it to friends.

Have latest Mac update in my laptop and could not get the printer to work wirelessly. Returned same day couldn't wait for a software upgrade.

We've gone a few years with no printer, but needed one on the fly for a massive amount of paperwork that needed "wet signatures" to be scanned and sent back. This seemed fine, so why not? We had one just like it years ago. This thing WILL NOT connect to our network. We are both tech people, so it's not like we're ignorant of how these things work. The instruction sheet is ridiculous, by the way. But the wireless setup simply doesn't work. It will not connect to our network. I'm beyond furious. I'm currently deciding if it's worth it to buy the cable just to get the job done, or return it on principle. Canon has been around long enough that they should know how to achieve this functionality by now. Everything else in the world is connected, why can't this work?

This thing is an even bigger piece of ______ than the HP Envy I bought this to replace. Always tells me there is no paper, prints text fine but doesn’t print boxes, barcodes on anything right. That being said, it doesn’t print shipping labels on paper which is the reason I bought it. It’s useless. Pixma used to be great but Canon has apparently gone downhill. Forget about support on their site. Chat will only tell you about orders that you don’t have and offers zero support. So I’m going to make use of it and the HP by pulling an Office Space fax machine scene with Ghetto Boys “Still” playing in the background. I’m ready to be Michael Bolton. Heading to the store to get a baseball bat now. Oh and it doesn’t connect wirelessly to iPhone either. At least the HP did that much.

I've had the printer a couple months, spent hours trying to get it to work, a friend spent a couple hours trying to get it to work, and I've spent hours on hold with Tech Support and then a couple hours with a real human being, and this has happened twice. So far the printer doesn't work. The last person to work on it said the only thing she could think of was to replace the USB cord, which I did but it still does not work. She tried to hook it up wireless but that didn't work either. I'd have expected a USB cord to come with the printer but none was there. Anyway, I use the printer a lot and have been really frustrated with the whole thing.

Does everything I need it to do plus more. Couldn't be happier.

If it wasn’t for the fact that ink is expensive and needs to be replaced way too often I would give it a higher rating.

Canon makes great printers and the ink cost doesn't empty your pockets.

Works ok once you finally get it to attach to WiFi for printing. Not recommended for a long term use

IT WAS CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW ONE INSTEAD OF REFILLS.

Basic printer/copier. copier doesn't product good copies. Printer shuts off after a certain time. would not buy this product again.
