You pay for what you get. Slow to start printing, and very difficult to wireless set up. Other than that it prints just fine.

    Canon - Pixma MG3620

Horrible printer. Firstly, the set up is ridiculous. It will work fine for the first week then issues start to arise. It always says "load paper" when paper is readily available. Paper always jams and the orange light constantly flashes. The set up is ridiculous.

Frugal option for the tech savvy

Unable to connect via wifi through my computer or any device. Unrecognized through wifi, bluetooth or NFC. Good thing I'm old school and fine with using a USB cable. So I was able to get it working using that method. I purchased this as a low cost option for the scanner. And It should be noted the drivers included with the installation software, do not contain the correct drivers to achieve advanced scanning features, such as 1200 dpi resolution. You'll need to register it on the Canon website, then download the drivers containing the Canon IJ Scan Utility in order for advanced scanning options to work. You get what you pay for. The quality is outstanding once you get it to work.

    Does not print LABELS

    Posted .

The webpages for this printer, at the manufacturer and at this website, do not list the types of media the printer works with. It would have been helpful, although who ever heard of a printer that can't do labels? It gives an error on paper sizes when you try to print labels. After back-and-forth emails with Canon, someone finally told me that the printer 'may not' print labels because of the paper they are on. (My paper-size settings were correct, and I tried multiple media types. Several customer service emails told me how to set paper sizes.)

I could not get it into discoverable mode.

I could never get wireless printing to work. I did not have access to a device that was able to put the printer id discoverable mode to make the connection. I ended up buying a USB cable and the printer works fine like that.

BB Won't Collect this Misdirected Order.

Might be a decent printer but as I didn't order one but Best Buy shipped me someone else's, maybe I'll give it a try. - - - - STORY PART 1 - - - - Here's the story. Found it at my door with name and address of someone else. Called BB. On hold for 14 minutes. Described the erroneous delivery to the woman. Suggested I search out the phone number and call ROADIE, who delivered the package, and explain it to them. - - - "Lady, I've already wasted some 15 minutes on this trying to do the right thing why don't YOU dig up their number and tell them. I'll give YOU the order and delivery numbers and you can set things straight." She put me on hold where that placed me back in the queue where they'll get to me in 41 minutes! - - - - STORY PART 2 - - - - - OK. Photo copy the 2 order tickets on the box. On my bike today so I take it to the BB that it was ordered from. Explain the situation to the clod behind the counter whose remedy was for me to BRING IT IN! Dude, I'm on a bike. Send one of your delivery trucks to pick it up. - - - Come on, BB. Get this sucker. I'd keep it but it's INK JET and there's no way I want to be paying through the nose for replacement ink.

Junk. Do not buy this or any printer.

Junk. Do not buy this or any printer. Go to to a local print ship. and save hours of time. I've been setting up printers on my own since 2001. This printer is so difficult to set up I couldn't get it to print plugged into my desktop or laptop. I had to print from my phone via an app. Everything anyone needed printed in my house had to be sent to my phone, because no other phones could be connected. Once my wifi network name changed a year later, the printer was totally useless. Called Canon and they told me that after a year they no longer offer support for their sub par printers and I would have to pay an extra $20 to get support. If the support was unsuccessful they would give me a $20 voucher...for a new printer. I told them I'm I'd rather through it away. Now I have spent 4 hours trouble shooting this piece of junk and I probably am going to through it away and go to the local print shop.

Here is how to connect to your WIFI system EASILY

I put this here in 1 star land even though this is a 5 star printer. The biggest complaint is how hard it is to set up with wifi. I too struggled for over an hour until I found I could easily set it up using a Google Play Store app called "Canon Print Inkjet/Selphy . I have an android phone, but it should be in the Iphone store as well. Just follow the instructions in the app and it does the job. Now I can use the printer on every computer on my wifi system. Why Canon doesn't just tell you about the app in the instructions is beyond me. The thing works great !!

When it works it actually does a fine job. However mine is constantly getting disconnected from wifi and then the only way i can get it to be recognized again is to put the Setup CD back in and reinstall things. Even the install of that usually fails a few times before i can get it to be successfully recognized by the other devices in my house.

Trying to switch from wireless printing to wired printing or then back to wireless it’s very confusing and about impossible to do. It’s way too much trouble to even try I would never want this type of printer again.

I bought this printer and tried to set up in home. But when I tried to connect to wifi, it was not even initiating a connection. Called cannon customer care, but the representative was reading the provided instructions once again, but he was not able to provide any solution. wasted couple of hours. Finally returned back. Looks like there are wifi issues. Careful when buying.

    Canon 3620 wifi junk w/Mac

The wifi compatibility with this printer for Mac is terrible. Not an easy connect and not well integrated, it is so frustrating to someone who is tech savvy that I will be using a cord. With that said you get what you pay for. So for $35 I guess all you can expect is it to print a piece of paper, which it has successfully done so far thus meriting its 2 stars.
