The setup software for mac is so horrible. It keeps crashing at each step. This seems to be a printer for people using old windows and have not updated their OS and still want to use USB cables.

I’ve owned probably 8 Canon printers. This is the worst one by far. Even after maintenance, cleanings, alignments, changing out print cartridges I still get pictures that are fuzzy or choppy and not lined up. Very disappointed.

This is the worst printer I’ve ever come across, the amount of times it’s tested my patience just makes me regret this purchase all the time. Huge waste of money unless you like being irritated. If I could give this a rating of -5 I would. Seriously, find something else.

Got it for my mom and she loved it. Say's it is working great with no issues and likes that it is not too heavy if she needs to move it.

    Great little printer

I purchased the Canon Pixma 3620 from BB two years ago to quickly and inexpensively print out masses of loan papers and it's been churning out documents and beautiful photos ever since. I am not particularly tech savvy, I downloaded the corresponding driver from the Canon website, installed it and connected to my macbook wirelessly without any issues. I love that the paper feed and output are both on the front, which saves some space. This is my first Canon printer, I have always bought Epson previously and those usually last about one year. Canon printers have a self cleaning mechanism that Epson does not, it seems to make the ink and the overall unit last much longer, so I've switched brands. This printer automatically turns itself off after a few hours, so you'll need to hit the power button before printing in the morning, and the bottom tray has the hidden extension arm that holds up the pages you've printed. *My only issue was when we switched to a new wifi router; the driver had to be un-installed, newly downloaded and installed and voila, works great!

Outdated, drivers and software not updated. Looks and feels cheap, not worth half the $100 retail. You'll be better off using your camera as a scanner (you'll get FAR better quality) if need be. The printer is basic. This item was returned.

Utter garbage. I have to reconnect it to my network EVERY TIME I need to use it. If you're looking for a printer you simply want to turn on and use, this one's not it.

Some reviews Can Be Misleading - Easy Setup

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Just bought this printer at Bestbuy.com. I did some research before hand and some of these reviews here are misleading. It does have an extendable arm to catch the paper so there is not paper all over the floor. Set up to WIFI was easy. Do not try to use the online manual for this. Manual is setup screwy and hard to understand. Go to www.usa.canon.com - Put in the name of the printer - Click on Support - Wireless Help - WIFI Printing - Wireless Setup on Windows Computers (or whatever you have) and it will show you PDF set up instructions that you can print out which I would suggest. Just follow the directions. It was simple. Also you can turn off the shut down option. There's probably more I haven't come across yet. Print quality is really nice. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Has been working on and off since I got it. Came with so little ink I got caught not being able to complete a project when needed. Not nearly as good as the past Canon Pixma printers I have had, many years worth.

The WiFi setup was horrible. The user interface is super old and buggy. I used an old dead printers usb hook up so I could connect it to my computer. If you can afford to spend more on a better printer please do so. If you are a college kid like me just use a usb cable to print.
