Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the PIXMA MG7520's print quality, ease of use, and wireless functionality, with many praising its convenient setup and sleek design. However, some customers expressed concerns regarding the printer's noise level, limited paper tray capacity, and occasional reliability issues. The warm-up time was also cited as a potential drawback by a few users. Overall, the positive feedback on print quality and ease of use outweighs the negative comments on minor inconveniences.

This printer does not print all the time when starting for the first time each day. It has to be turned on and off. My son was disappointed it did not have a place for a flash drive. Not easy to set up.

Love this printer! Very easy to install, has excellent print quality and is a very sharp looking machine. I got it in white as I am sick of everything in black. Love the wireless printing with auto turn on, and I can print from any of my devices with no issues. Can print a variety of jobs including disc printing. This replaced a previous wireless Canon that I used for years before it quit. None of the other brands I have owned have worked as well as my Canon printers have. I will never buy another brand again.

I bought this printer about eight weeks ago. Not only is it a good looking printer, but it works flawlessly. Pros: It's easy to set up right out of the box. Being able to fax, scan, copy, or print covers you on all bases. It's wireless functions make working from any computer, phone, or tablet a huge convenience. You can't argue about the print quality either, it's always exceptional whether you're printing photos or documents. Also, the customer service that comes along with it is unlike anything I've seen from any other manufacturer. Cons: None, although I'm scared to try a note card again. I had a slight problem with my printer, we loaded a note card, (possibly improperly), and it got stuck. It went somewhere inside, but after taking it apart as much as allowed, we were unable to retrieve it. We were stuck with a permanent paper jam. I brought the printer back to Best Buy and they basically told me that I was out of luck. I decided to call Canon to find out what my options were and was amazed with how it turned out. Not only is their customer service located in the USA by people who speak English, they picked up the phone after just a few rings and we were troubleshooting my problem within seconds. The printer was unable to be fixed over the phone, so they gave me the option of taking it to a repair center or accepting a new one. Within the week, I had a new printer on my doorstep with a prepaid shipping label to send the old on back through UPS. They even helped explain to me what I could do next time to prevent this from happening again. Canon has got a customer for life with me. And with this printer being on sale at just over $100, it's hard to pass up.

Very sleek looking, Compact in size compared to other printers out there. Easy set up (20 min out of box to printing first picture), Picture quality is amazing! Printed both 8 1/2 x 11 and glossy photo paper (iphone 6plus), wireless function was a breeze, set up wireless using mifi (worked perfectly), The product comes with full ink cartridges (vs 1/2 full ones for epson printers). Got it on sale, worth every cent I paid for it. One caveat tho, did not come with a USB cord. other than that no complaints.

    Awful Printer/Scanner

We have had this printer approximately one year. This hunk of junk has convinced us to never buy a Canon product again. We finally hardwired the device to our PC because the wireless malfunctioned repeatedly and Canon service seemed to have no clue on how to fix it. The last straw was error code 5,157,69 saying that the scanner was not hooked up, yet the scanner worked fine using MSPaint. As a special bonus, the Canon cartridges are short lived and expensive. What is not to dislike about this Canon MG7520? Not much.

The printer was easy to setup. In about 30 minutes I had it up and printing and scanning via WiFi. That time includes unpacking the printer. I have an iMac running Mavericks and it was very easy to add the printer. The OS already included the Canon print drivers, so I didn't use the provided DVD. When I opened the scanner driver the OS downloaded the driver for the scanner. Once the printer was on my network it allowed me to print from my iPad/iPhone without downloading anything. So far I'm very pleased with the printer. Note: The printer is all white and doesn't have black around the sides as shown on the website.

I finally made the plunge and purchased a wireless printer. I love the printer fact that I can print wirelessly. The set-up was very easy and my only complaint is that the printer is very big! Of course, that in no way affects the print quality, it just seems much bigger than most home printers.

    Very good photo quality printer!

I've been looking for a good photo quality printer for a while. My old 16 year old HP did a good job, for it's time, but it wasn't totally photo quality and now the ink is very expensive. In looking around I happened into a local Best Buy and was shown a demo of the Canon MG7520 by a Canon rep. I'm skeptical of what a rep will demo, so she told me to print from my phone. The results were good enough for me to take one home and compare the prints to a new HP 7645 photo quality printer I had just purchased from Costco. Now for the technical part. The printer didn't take that long to set up. About as long as the HP did. I did a lot prints on HP on HP photo paper and I did the same prints on the Canon using Canon photo paper. I printed pictures without and with the same modifications to the pictures for both printers. The results were night and day between the HP and the Canon, with the Canon making outstanding prints. One big thing I noticed was I could see the ink dots with the HP, but not with the Canon. To me it was like seeing the difference resolution between a 720P vs a 1080P flat screen HD TV. The HP resolution and printing never did get that crisp, sharp photo lab look and the colors were dull. With the Canon I definitely got the photo lab quality look, with very good color rendition. Now for scanning. I scanned the same newspaper article, which contained a photo, in both printers without any adjustments just to see how effective both were. The HP scan was washed out and the colors dull. The Canon reproduced a very close representation of the article. Part of this exceptional printing from the Canon could be due to the 6 different individual ink cartridges. Yep, 6! There are the three color, one photo black, one black for standard documents, and one gray. The gray helps in printing the slight variations and subtleties within a color picture, and it's excellent if you want to do some really nice black and white printing. All this adds up to some very impressive printing results. I've been in photography for a long time and looking for a really good home photo quality printer for a long time. I've found it with the Canon MG7520. The results were as lab quality as you will get with a home printer. Especially for the price the results are amazing. Canon out did themselves with this printer.

I bought this printer to replace an HP printer that started to glitch. I have always bought HP but this time started researching printing costs and quality. I was skeptical at first about buying a Canon printer because I'm so comfortable with HP. Set up was easy and it does the job a lot quieter and faster than my 2 year old office jet that crashed. I printed a few pictures for an event and now I'm hooked. The ink is reasonable and the operation is seemless. Canon found a customer, bye HP.

Pretty easy setup for my Mac. This stuff is usually the hubby's thing to do, but he's out so I jumped right in. Going at a leisurely pace, this took less than an hour. The directions in the "Getting Started" guide were clear. Download of software and setup, not too complicated. So great to have success on the first printing trial after setup! The Pixma design is sleek, a nice upgrade from the last 3-in-1, which was an HP Office Pro 8500A that I inherited. A total piece of junk twice as large as the Pixma that I'll be glad to see go. Prior to the HP, I had a Canon i9900, a monster piece but it gave 8 + years of reliable printing before needing a new printhead. I'm hoping to get some of that same good quality out of this new Pixma. So far, so good...

    Impressive Photo printing

My grand aunt & grandmother encountered an old shoebox full of photos from their childhood. I wanted a printer that would hold up to these old restorations (with great assistance from photo apps of course!), and that gray cartridge REALLY does indeed make a difference with the photo clarity. I would be mainly using the printer for photo printing yet it is still great with regular documents- these are what I like about this printer: 1-separate color cartridges, if you want to print a b&w document, you may still print even when the color cartridge is low or empty (other printers may make you replace the empty cartridges) 2-photo clarity is brilliant! As a beginner, this printer meets my needs 3-wireless 4-Canon offers xl cartridge combo packs 5-the design is "sci-fi" and sleek 6-I have a drawer for paper and a separate drawer for photos (you can change the size for each drawer) 7-It will automatically shut off (energy wise), and I agree with others that it is slow to warm up- however that is fine with me. I hope I am not ever in a position where I must critically print photos at Mach speed. In summary-this printer is excellent for photo printing, I printed a letter and it looked like it came from a laser, this is exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price, and I am happy with it thus far.
