Piece of S---
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After spending my entire day off trying to install this printer, I wanted to thow it thu a window. It is basically sitting on top of my high speed router, and took 20 times or more to connect to my wirless lan. Even with the disc installed in my laptop, the laptop could not recongize the printer. Als my Galaxy S6 couldn't detect it. Come to find out if it is plugged into the desk top it cannot connect wirelessly at all. So disconnected from the desktop and started all over again. Still neith the laptop or the phone could detect it. It's going back.

Good Printer for a Great Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its not the most advanced tech, and no fancy bells and whistles, however, definitely a quality product for the purchase price. I recommend.

Works good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little difficult to set up. Wish that the LCD display had a back light. Other than that it prints and faxes good once i figured it out.

great toners for Canon MX492
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are great toners (245xl & 246 XL) for my Canon MX492 and they last also somewhat longer than the regular 245 & 246

Just OK, Really
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The thing I find most frustrating about this product is that it constantly paper jams. Especially when printing envelopes which is a huge part of my print work. It is easy to remove the jams but still takes time out of my print jobs because every other envelope gets jammed. Which means every other envelope gets ruined.

Paper Jam Error for Every Page
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only print a few pages a month. Within that first month, this printer constantly gets paper jam errors for every piece of paper that goes in. Once cleared, it asks to insert paper. Once paper is inserted, it will jam again. Also, the piece that catches the paper usually doesn't even pull the paper in when the stack is full, 75%, half-full--doesn't matter. I've wasted 15 minutes trying to get a single black and white page to print and had to tear out four pages from the printer that jammed. Do not waste your money on this; it will give you issues within a month.

Had too many lag problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great option for people who do not have any other wireless electronics in the house when you need to print. there are 3 of us at my house. in order to print anything, I have to turn off all three iphones, and ipads. We decided to get a cable and hard wire it to the main laptop when printing.

Piece of junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer will not stay connected. I've used USB cable and WiFi connections and spend 20 minutes going through the steps to connect to a laptop, then the next day have to do it all over again. Support is very weak, with long hold times and no answers as to how to fix the problem for good. I won't buy another Canon printer.

Meh
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You get what you pay for. I just needed an simple printer to have at my parent's home where I spend most of my time these days. It's ok. Printer functionality is per the price of the printer. My biggest complaint is that it keeps losing it's network settings and going offline so that's a hassle.

Did not like
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did an okay job at first. Images came out great. Printing was slow and paper jammed. Which is not a problem. Only issue it was very tedious to un-jam the paper. I would not suggest buying this product.

Seems like nothing is built to last a long time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lasted five years. Then it suddenly stopped communicating. Constantly had to replace ink even though we barely printed much.

Functional, but annoying to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer is functional - it scans, copies, and prints as advertised. I mistakenly thought it did auto duplex printing, which was the whole point of buying it, but that's my fault. What bothers me the most is how annoying it is to try and scan with this printer. I can't get it to scan things in as pictures instead of html files, even when it's set to scan things in as photos. I should have gone with the cheaper version that does what I wanted in the first place. Or just stuck with HP...
