This is a good printer for the price. Print quality is excellent and scanner is easy to use. My only complaints is that it prints slow but for the price its worth it.

I could not get my wireless Dell printer to work after about 3 years. When I called Dell technical help several times it seemed that this printer (V525 W) life had suddenly ended. The option was to buy another Dell printer that would be able to do more things but it was also much bigger which I figured out was to big for my small apt. I was advised to buy a Cannon printer if I needed a smaller one. After looking at several reviews and went to the local Best Buy I decided to get this Cannon MX492.

With all my grandchildren only wanting to use iPad I decided to give them the gift of printing

Good printer for my dorm room in college for all my class assignments because I can't always use the school printer.

Printing and scans work great. High quality! Also works with 110lb cardstock! Great for printing games and trading cards.

So far, so good. Haven't had a problem, I've been using it a lot lately. Need to stock up on paper and ink.

I love the beautiful text this printer prints out - just what I wanted! I also wanted the FAX capability. However, I don't like the confusing set-up instructions or the tiny monitor window (B&W) that I can hardly read. Then, there are the several buttons you must use to accomplish an odd set-up routine. I finally had to call Canon Tech Support for HELP, because the on-line manual is also confusing and not in the order I would have written it in (I am a retired tech/science writer & editor)! Another negative (for me) is that you must leave the paper cassette half-way out of the printer while using it; THEN, the unused paper must be removed from the cassette and stored when you want to close the machine up! A space-saver I guess, what with all this printer is supposed to do, but, I find it very inconvenient. So far, I can only print. I don't know when I will get the other features set up. I have set up other printers and several PCs in the past and never had such problems with set-up instructions. I will likely keep trying and, if I get some other features installed, I'll write a follow-up review. .... I would only recommend this printer to a friend WITH cautions about the confusing instructions, etc.. I am unable to add a photo of this printer, but it is on Best Buy's website.

I bought this as a replacement for an HP that had bit the dust. My grandkids enjoy using it for their school projects. It's easy to use and was easy to install. Great buy.

I had a little trouble getting everything setup due to not loading the software. I like plug and play and having trouble printing from explorer. But good printing tho.

I am very pleased with the overall speed and printing capabilities of our new canon printer.

There's a reason why I only buy Cannon printers, cheap and reliable.

I'm still getting used to my printer. I love for the most part. The only thing I would suggest is a light to see the screen. Other than that its fine. Easy to use.

This printer does exactly what it needs to do for me...print. Our last printer had seen its last days so I needed something inexpensive to get the job done. This does it!

This printer is great if you are just a simple college kid on a budget or just need something simple. It's really loud which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Canon has always been a good printer for me. It does everything that I need in a printer.

Had been looking for a printer to have at home. Was not the main idea for purchase when coming into the store. The sale price was the perfect amount and then having the capability over wireless printing added to the value of the printer. This is the perfect printer for a mobile home office.

Good printer for everyday use. More compact than the MP780 I replaced, which is a plus. Not as solid as previous models but that might explain the much lower price.

Have several printers and my Canons have been an excellent choice they seem to be reliable and well built don’t guzzle ink like Epson printer seem to do!
