Good price for this item
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I purchased this online, I was able to pick this up at any location I choose. Which was great. Saved me time and driving. The price was even a good deal for this all in one printer.

quality is good but uses tremendous amt of ink
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am thinking about returning it to Best Buy for a refund. I think it is too expensive to operate. I only use this for personal use so I don't make that many copies.

Canon quality still delivers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this printer for home use because we have multiple PCs and needed a network printer. We also were looking for one that had the multiple ink cartridges so we didn't waste ink like we did using our old tri-color single color cartridge printer. This unit met those aspects and more. The Canon quality of printing is still the same, the scanning is also Canon quality (we have on older flatbed Canon scanner to compare) and the single button copy feature is great. We have not used the fax yet. It was easy to get on the network and works with all three of our PCs (both Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems). The software suite that came with the unit has many features that make it easy to use. On the cons: it does eat ink quickly as the individual ink tanks are small (but easy to replace); it is not straightforward as to how to get the printer to use the large blank ink tank for economy or standard printing of black and white docuements without wasting the color ink; it is a large unit - definitely be sure to measure for space requirements before purchasing and take into account opening the lid for scanning and copying.

Good printer, scanner, copier (havent tried to fax
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is probably, by a small margin, the best printer I have ever owned. I really like the wireless feature. I think the upgrade to 802.11n does help the speed. Resolution is great. I constantly get compliments on the work it turns out. Even "quick and dirty" test prints look quite good. Once it gets started, the speed is very good. However, it is often the slowest printer I have ever owned at starting to print. I realize this is an inherent limitation of all inkjets, but this one is the worst I ever saw for that shortcoming. This is the only reason I won't rate it 5 stars The scanner is excellent, also, even though not as good as my old Epson flat bed. It is an extremely quiet scanner. That is always a plus..

Loads of Features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed to upgrade my Canon MP830 that I have had for 6 years. The print head quit working. Extended warranty expired. This MX892 is real nice looking and has loads of features to connect to a network of computers at home. Can download from Android phones, tablets, and laptops. Documents are sharp and color is great. You can copy, fax, scan and do pictures. It has it all. The down side is that it is slower than the old MP830. However, with that said the home network does not have the need to print real quick. This is the 3rd Canon MFP I have had over the past 11 years. Getting just over 5.5 years of usage. Not a bad investment for home.

Grat all in one printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great multifunction printer for the price. The scanner and copier functions allow you to automatically feed your document and you can password protect the pdf file of the scanned document. We have another one similar to this one but a different model number and they both have worked flawlessly. Unlike some of the other wireless printers I have owned the wireless connection on this one does not drop. Set up is a breeze. I also like that the printer will stop printing and tell you when a cartridge is out and needs replacing. You don't waste paper and ink that way. No guessing about which one either as the light blinks on the one that is out.

Great / reasonably priced all in one printer!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great value and product for the price! Had upgraded most of our tablets and laptops to Apple products and wanted to do the same for our printing needs. I looked at a Brother printer and this one based on the reviews and found this to meet our needs. This printer was extremely easy to set up and has all the features we need and some we don't. The print quality is great producing professional results. I highly recommend this product.

Should have bought it sooner!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Canon MP830 printer that was about 8 years old and finally stopped working (scannner bulb burned out). I chose this printer as a replacement for the old one, and I am very glad that I did. The printer is about 3/4 of the size of my old one, but still has all of the same features, including duplex scanning, which was important to me. While I didn't initially plan on using the wireless feature, it is very convenient when you want to print something (such as a photo) from your cell phone or iPad. Printing is still the same great quality I've gotten from my other Canon printers. The ink tanks on this printer are smaller than most, so I expect you'll go through them faster. However, I've had great success with the generic inks with this printer and my previous one, which helps. One of the biggest improvements I've noticed is the simplicity of scanning. If you place more than one photo on the platten, the scanner will automatically detect the edges of the photos, and ask you which ones you'd like to scan. All you have to do is hit preview, check boxes for the ones you want, and then scan. Don't have to define the edges or anything -- that's all done for you. Made scanning a stack of photos a snap! Photo print quality on the Canon paper is excellent. I've used both the Canon inks and generics, and both have provided excellent prints. I highly recommend this printer, and would definitely buy it again.

Nice printer with lots of features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this printer. Needed a wireless so this one replaced an earlier Canon model. Very easy to set up and start using. Link to wireless so easy, and fast, no computer needed. Sturdy, and nice looking.

Great wireless all in one printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second all in one printer. It was easy for me to set up, and I was ready to print in a short time. I have the printer on the first level, and I can send to it from my third level. The color is great and the speed is fast. When you have to change the ink, each color has its own tank which is good because you don' t waste expensive ink.

Quality printer, good value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a quality printer backed by the Canon name so you get easy setup and quality software. Setup was rather easy, but timely as there were a lot of plastic coverings to protect the printer. Wireless print setup was a breeze. My wife's iPad recognized it right away on our home wireless network. Just make sure you don't connect your ethernet cable to the printer when doing setup (it also tells you this in the setup guide#. I've had the printer for over a month now and I've printed mostly text and color documents. The printer has been great with no paper jams. The ADF #Automatic Document Feeder) made scanning documents rather easy; however, I do wish it could hold more than 35 at a time. This is a solid printer that works well and does what it says it will. I know the ink may be a little more costly, so I chose to leave my printer on at all times to avoid the constant head cleanings. So far so good.

Great Printer at a great price!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great printer at a great price. it was advertise at the store for $149.99 but I got it at $99.99 plus the 4yr warranty for $49.99. This printer is replacing a busted Canon Pixma MX310 printer. I really like the wireless function, I can print/scan/fax from my laptop. The air print works great. I love that its auto duplex so scanning from the auto feeder it will scan the back of the documents automatically. The fax feature works like any other fax. I sent a fax to my insurance company with no problem. Yes there are other printers in the market but at the current price some cant compete. Give it a try if you don't like it return for something else. But I believe you'll will be happy as I am.

Great printer!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the printer for over a month now and I love it! It's extremely easy to connect to your existing WiFi connection. Printing, scanning, and faxing are all straight forward without hiccups. I replaced an HP Deskjet 4580 with this Canon. I lose power frequently where I live and the power outage would lose the WiFi connection on the HP but it stays stored in the Canon. Picture printing is also top notch!
