This printing is very good. The set up is easy if you follow the directions exactly as they say. Haven't set up the fax yet though. Love the fact that it has individual color cartriages so when a color is low you don't have to replace all the colors. Excellent for photo printing as well.

    Awesome Printer, Works as expected

This is my first Canon, and I love it! The only issue I have had is sometimes it is tough to get the paper tray back in. Otherwise, everything works wonderfully! I purchased this printer after switching to Mac from PC. My old printer wasn't compatible at all. This one works great. It is super quiet. I have yet to have any issues with the wireless, which was a big issue with previous printers I have owned. However, I have yet to figure out how to make it print from my iPhone. It doesn't show up when I go to print something. I need to troubleshoot a little bit more, but it isn't a big deal. I haven't printed any photos, so I am not sure of the photo print quality for this printer.

    Heavy, but packs a punch!

I purchased this printer for use at college, knowing that I had ample space to fit it. This thing is a behemoth of an inkjet printer. It weighs quite a lot, and the handles on the sides of the printer are kinda awkward. Nonetheless, the printer is incredibly accurate, and prints relatively fast for a wireless connection. The wireless distance is awesome since it runs through a router. If your router is up to pace, you'll be able to print from the maximum distance of the router itself. The printer cartridges are individual, so if you only use a certain color, you only have to replace that color. Photo quality is far better than the former HP printers I've owned, and a few of my neighbors' HP All-in-ones.

I have had this printer for a few weeks now and I like it very much. I wasn't prepared to buy a Canon. I like Epson printers. But a Canon rep was there the day I purchased this one. So we went thru all the bells and whistles and then looked at the Epsons and they couldn't compete. Also, it was on sale for 150.00. Set up was a breeze. It networked itself in about 3 minutes. I have windows 7. I had absolutely NO problems with set up and printing at all. This one is defintely a keeper in my book!!

Decided to trade up from and older all-in-one and found this model on sale. It has everything I wanted and then some. Speed and quality are great. Easy to use. Easy to set up. A great product.

This Canon printer multi-function is a great buy. I print photos, documents and use the scanner and fax machine. All are easy to set up and use. This printer prints faster and is quieter than the cheaper Canon printers. I would recommend this printer as the best multi-function for the price. I also think the sleek design makes it look good in any office or home.

Great all in one printer! Great LCD interface. Ability to print from my iPad, iPhone. The ability to send scanned documents to your computer (wirelessly). I have a PC and a MAC and it works great with both platforms.

The cost is competitive and I thought it was a good buy. I have used two other printers and it is the best I have used. Photos come out well as those done by a photo shop. The quality of the printing makes up for the slow start. The setup was easy, however, the online manual was a bit awkard to use. It would be better if one could download the manual rather printing certain sections that are needed.

    Canon printers are the best!

I have owned several Canon printers.........Pixma MP830, five years absolutely trouble free, my fault it still isn't up and running because I didn't use a phone line surge protector and it was zapped by lightening.........won't happen again!! My newest, the MX892............love it! When my MP830 was zapped, I decided to try an HP simply because the ink is cheaper given the pages printed per ink cartridge and it's cost. BIG MISTAKE!!! The unit was JUNK..........kept losing the software, corrupting the software, would go to fax when I selected print among numerous other software issues (and that wasn't my first nightmare with HP products regarding software issues)! Factor in the NOISE.........like having a freight train running through the room..........NO.......NO..........and NO! I returned it and purchased the Canon MX892 and it's as graceful as my old MP830...........I'll pay the little extra for ink just for the reliability and the noise factor, quiet and efficient!! My vote goes to CANON ....................HANDS DOWN!! Given these under $300 printers are basically throw aways if they fail, if I get another 5 years totally problem-free like my MP830...........I'm a happy camper!!! I should have done more research on the HP product because I later found online reviews supporting my assesment of their products!!

THE PERFECT ALL IN ONE FOR MAC USERS

The initial setup took about 2-3 hours. I am not the most capable person technically speaking. I had just a little glitch with setting up the wireless. However, with one phone call to Canon Technical Service (which both the technical and customer service are located in Chesapeake, Virginia and yes, they speak English perfectly), they had me setup and running in no time. Best Buy price matched COSTCO and I paid $119.99. The machine seems very well built. Time will tell, but after reading all of the reviews, I don't think that I or you will ever go wrong with this Canon. I have to say GOODBYE to HP because of the lower quality and non English speaking customer support. Buy this printer with confidence, I did.

This printer replaces a Canon MP830 that died suddenly after 6 years. The MP830 was good but the MX892 improved many of the features on the old printer. The user interface and MX Navigator software is greatly improved. The ability to print from anywhere on the home network is great. Print quality and ink usage is as good or better than the old printer. Finally, this printer is 6 year newer technology but is priced at only 50% of the old printer price.

I use this printer for my wife's business documents and for my general business printing. I've not used it yet for photos as I have 9500 Pixma Pro for photos. This printer scans documents quickly and cleanly, very simple process including multiple page documents. Printing is quick and quiet. I'm on my first round of cartridges, so I can't comment on ink usage.

    Great scanner

I got this all-in-one mainly because it was on sale and so very inexpensive for the type of scanner it has - you can scan multiple documents by just putting them in the sheet feeder as a stack and pressing a button, and coming back a few minutes later and they're all done. You can even do duplex scanning (IE have it scan both sides of each page in the sheet feeder). My only issue is that you can't seem to feed documents that are smaller than the standard 8.5x11 size. Maybe you can by specifying the size beforehand, but that somewhat defeats the purpose. What would be optimal is to be able to put a stack of different-sized paper in and have it all scan, but alas, for those that are not standard, I have to use the flatbed, which is a longer process. The software is pretty nice and lets you save to pdf, or image formats, but it also, for pdfs, lets you crop, rotate, and reorder pages, which can really help so that you don't have to do all of this before scanning (making sure order is correct). Anyway, I've been using this to try to go paperless and so far I think I've probably gotten rid of at least 10 lbs of paper! Using this with Evernote and dropbox, I can get rid of 95% of my documents and be confident I can always retrieve them when I need. Having the actual physical documents is not necessary in almost all cases, so it's a great solution for those who don't want to be burdened by huge, overflowing cabinets!

The best function of this printer is wireless networking. Click photo and print button in your iphone. That's all what you need to print your photo in your iphone. It's very simple! Scan speed is a little slow but quality is good. Doc printing is normal speed and quality. Photo printing is fast and very good quality though, Canon photo paper is expensive.

I love this printer. I don't know much about printers but this one is so easy to set up and use. We mostly use it for document printing but have printed a few photos. Changing the ink is also easy. Just lift up the hatch and the cartridges are right there. Pop the old one out...Pop the new one in. Simple. We usually do basic printing such as duplexing and normal printing on standard paper, envelopes, or cardstock. We bought this because we have a high schooler and wanted to make sure they have everything they need to do whatever project throughout their high school education. Some of the features we don't use but nice to have them if we need them. Don't see us buying another for a long time.

Print quality is outstanding! Setup was a little confusing but once completed everything worked great. Good support for linux, a real plus in my opinion. Print speed is ok for home use, but there are a lot of faster printers. It is BIG! Takes up a lot of space on my computer desk. Overall a great value.

This printer performs all . Print, Copy, Scan, Photo print, Fax. I purchased this printer from Best buy. I use it primarily for scanning the documents. Scan quality is good. Printing documents is also good. But printing takes time. It is not as fast as commercial printers at fedex or ups. Wireless functionality is great. No messy wires. Auto Document Feeder is good and saves time when scanning or copying bulk documents. I have not tried Fax , Photo print.

I returned a different brand all-in-one printer after 3 weeks. That went into energy save/sleep mode & forgot to wake up when I had an incoming fax. The Canon is superb!!! Love it!
