Hard to set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm an experienced PC user and am running Windows 10. The printer is great once you get it set up, but I had the following problems while setting it up: Would not recognize the printer on my wireless network (almost new high end Netgear) - had to use the USB setup; and kept interrupting the driver install from CD - finally downloaded Windows 10 drivers from the Internet and got it working. Many other similar storied on line when I looked. Canon needs to update their installation software CD for at least the current Windows operating systems.

Love this beast!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was worried when I first picked up and unpacked this printer because it was twice as big and 4x as heavy as my 10year old HP all-in-one. I quickly forgot about this though because the printer is sleek, quiet, fast and reliable. My favorite features are the auto-feeder and the scan from printer features. I often need to digitize documents and it was easy to set up a default location for the scans to save on my computer. I love that I can add as many manual scans as I want to one document. This printer has great features for the price, like double sided printing, separate ink cartridges and name-brand ink is cheap compared to my old HP. From what I understand, knock-off brand ink is even cheaper. I am very happy with this printer!!

SLOW.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure why Canon can't speed their machines up by now.. This printer is painfully slow when first started or if its been idle for awhile. Ink is used like its was free air and the replacement cartridges are as expensive as a new machine. If you get this, look around because its almost always on sale somewhere for 99 dollars.

Love the double sided printing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up the wifi, my iPhone and iPad print easily without any fuss. The double sided printing makes documents a snap. About to buy another for my boat. Getting ink especially the large size ones a bit of a problem. Great printer

Photo printing....just WOW
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer specifically for printing photos of several sizes: 4x6, 5x7, 8x10. I had Googled "Best photo printer 2016", and this printer came up as one of the top 10 in mytopprinters.com. It seemed to be my best choice for my budget. I also liked the fact that it has a 9600 x 2400 maximum color dpi. Well, I'm far from disappointed. The photos I've printed are sharp as a tack. Colors are excellent. I'll be doing a lot of printing of photos I've taken, framing them, and hanging them up in my house. The photos from this printer are that good.

Great Multi-Function Printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall...It is a great printer for the price and the functions offered...the wireless feature is cool...something my previous Canon printers lacked...also like its ability to print on CD's and DVD's. [Printers should be no more than $25...waste tank fills up to quick...from cleaning heads AND manufacturers make the money on ridiculously high ink cartridge prices etc.]

Great bang for the buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed a new home printer for my wife's office. I use a lot of Apple products, so AirPrint was a deal breaker for me. I do like the individual color cartridges. Only replace what you use. And, like most things Apple, the AirPrint feature works flawlessly from my iphone, ipad and macbook pro.

Good Deal
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer looks pretty and functional. It is a little bit slow with the scanning mode and a little bit large, but at the end it is really a good product. I suggest to buy it.

SLOW!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is sooo slow in warming up. I have had several printers over the years and while the quality of copy is fine, it is exasperating to wait 5 minutes for a quick copy on this unit. The ink usage seems excessive too, I buy XL cartridges but change them more frequently than I think I should.

Awesome printer for wireless household
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having previously owned a wireless printer that constantly had connection issues, I was hesitant to buy another. However, the reviews of this printer were very good, including some from close friends of mine. I have been very pleased with this printer so far, it's almost like having a desktop-sized wireless office document center; about the only thing it doesn't do is staple. My only complaint is that sometimes the print queue can take a while to spool up, but other than that this thing has been flawless.

Good to Adequate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Canon printer replaced my Epson 800 which lasted for about 4 years and then died (printer head). The reason I purchased the Canon is because it was CHEAP and the refill ink cartridges were readily available on eBay for a low price. For about $75, this printer is a good deal. Now about performance. The print quality is very good. No complaints. The only problem I have is that it is slow. If the printer is idle for a day or two, it will make clank-whirr-clunk-chunk noises for about 30 seconds or more before the first printed page is produced. After that, the speed is acceptable. By the way, this sort of delay on first print did not happen with the Epson printer. Another key point was the initial set up. The documentation supplied is pitiful. I had the scour the web to find answers on how to set it up. The Canon website was helpful but still, the entire process was painful. By contrast, EPSON was a breeze. Once the Canon was set up, it works just fine.

Decent enough for me to be on my third one
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a printer, it is pretty good. Setup was easy, lots of configuration options, ink usage no worse than any other printer (plus you can find cheap replacement cartridges). Two side printing works well. As a scanner, it is excellent - reasonable fast and the software is very, very good. I share it on my local network with another computer, without significant problems. Sometimes I have to go into Windows Service manager to restart the Spooler, but that isn't the printer's problem. Can be noisy, but there is a Quiet mode which you can set and works for my purposes without any perceptible negative effect. Main quirk and complaint is that, too often, it will go into a "Please wait ..." phase where it does some sort of internal maintenance, and thus is unusable for several minutes. Very inconvenient, but it eventually comes back and is okay. As mentioned, I am on my third one. The first two failed with Error B200, basically means the printer is dead. I buy these things expecting them to last about a year, and use the Geek Squad replacement to get a new one. If/when this one goes, I will get another if they are still available. So, let your conscience be your guide

Guzzles ink
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer because my Canon PIXMA MX-850 was getting old. I have been pleased with Canon's photo printing quality, and the MX-922 is no exception. However, this thing uses a lot of ink. I recently did a large print job in grayscale, which shouldn't use any color ink. I ended up putting in several color cartridges. This printer continually cleans its print head in order to assure high quality results. Even though it shouldn't be using any colored ink for the black-and-white job, it empties the colored cartridges along with the black. (It seems to be using the pigmented black ink for grayscale printing; I haven't had to replace my dye black cartridge.) I am using the XL (high-capacity) color cartridges and am experiencing excessive usage anyway. I recommend this otherwise fine printer only for photo and incidental multi-purpose use.

Awesome Printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been one of the best printers I have ever had. I’ve had this for 6 years and it has performed flawlessly. Ink can be found cheaply aftermarket and the quality is there whether using windows print or higher end programs like light room.

Error B200 1 month after warranty expired
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually bought this printer at the end of October 2015 when I rep from the company at Best Buy shared with me how awesome this printer was. I actually love this printer. The cartridges are much more affordable and I love the options that come with the printer including the 2 trays for printing paper/photo paper. Unfortunately I received a B200 error message which basically, after several hours of research, is telling me I need to get a new printer. I have had several HPs that lasted for a very long time, but I was ready for a switch and ended up with the MX922. But if this printer will only last 1 year, not sure it is worth it, even if you do get it on sale! Not sure what I will purchase again, I would consider buying this printer again because it really is a great printer, but would get the extended warranty (if it covers such error messages!)
