    Troubles from Day one

Can't wireless print, despite many calls to Canon and Best Buy. The paper tray is impossible to open, and Canon already sent one replacement with no luck. Only good thing is that you can get cheap ink refills on line.

    Loud, Slow but prints nice

Colors are decent but seems to eat ink like crazy. I had to purchase a cord to connect it to my computer because every time the printer turned off, I had to re-set up the wifi connection which is extremely annoying. It's loud and extremely slow! If it wasn't on sale for $69 I would be returning it.

    Bulky Workhorse

Printer is fairly heavy and seems to be very big for no apparent reason??? Large unused space under scanner and behind ink dock. Also there is a weird upside down tray for a cd, not really sure why. I had to call canon customer service for assistance to get this one setup.

    Insanely slow start-up

When I bought this printer I told the employee it was to use for work. Unfortunately, it has to "think" 5-8 minutes before it starts to print. I've never had a Canon before but if this is standard, I don't see how they still sell printers. The print quality is very good, but not worth the extra time.

Worked great for 16 months. Then it wont turn on. And now it was diagnosed as the logic board. Looking at other forums seems to be a normal issue with the MX892 and MX922. It also does not do Scan to cloud or Scan to email

    Beats Epson

Features for the price are beyond what I've gotten before from either Epson or HP. Setup is a breeze and scanning from either our PC or Surface is easy. Photo printing quality is superb and document printing easy and crisp. We don't use the Fax feature (people still have land lines these days?) so I can't comment on that.

    Complete piece of cr*p

Bought this to replace a Canon MX850, far & away the best printer I ever owned, which unfortunately finally wore out. This is on the other end of the spectrum. Cheaply built, slow, noisy, and an ink hog. Software is awful, especially compared to the prior iteration. I expected an upgrade w a new machine. Instead this is a downgrade.

And printing quick black/white documents. What I don’t care about this printer is that the ink dries out so quick and it’s so expensive to replace. User friendly interface though.

    Do not recomment

This printer never ever works well, even when I exchange it. The old one dies after printing twice. And the new one can never connect with the wifi. So I bought a cable for it. Finally, it works. BUT it restarts by itself after finishing printing, EVERY SINGLE TIME, and says it was not turned off appropriately. I am totally frustrated with this stupid printer.

    Not for Online Coupon Printing

    Posted .

If you don't need to print coupons online, this is a great printer. However, I need a high dpi to replace my Canon MP610 (whose printhead went bad). I previously had 9600 dpi color printing, scanning, and copying with my MP610. After speaking with Canon, there are not other options out there that will not print coupons only on photo paper that has the 9600 dpi. Really angry at Canon for not putting out another great MP610 compatible printer. I will purchase outside of Canon if I have to.

ERROR CODE 6000 - DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!!

Ordered one and right out of the box I got ERROR CODE 6000. This error means CANON must physically repair it. I then return it and get another sent to me, SAME EXACT ERROR RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS ONE!!! I would give it NO STARS if I could.

    NOT Impressed

What can you expect from a $78 printer? Printing is very slow. Output quality is good. The scan software interface is poorly written. If you do not scan very much, then you won't mind fighting with the Canon software to name your documents and place them where you want them on your hard drive. If you're never in a hurry, then you won't mind it taking a minute or more to print something. I took this machine back and got a Brother.

My HP print died of old age. I was going to replace it with another HP, but my son suggested the cannon when we went shopping to replace the old printer. Since the family shares the printer this was better for his line of work.

    Takes FOR-EH-VER to Print

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This printer takes FOR-EH-VER to print. Literally over two minutes before it started printing. Which does not seem like a long time, but compared to any other printer, its an eternity. It just sits there and does some internal workings. Plus, the drivers don't like certain Lenovo PC's. I've been in the IT field for almost 20 years and it took me hours to get the drivers to work. Then sometimes I have to reinstall them because it cant communicate properly with your wireless.

Overall I am very happy with this purchase. The printer was easy to setup and a great value. Best of all the ink is priced lower than other leading brands. I highly recommend it.

    Pixma MX922

So far I hate it. It is not user friendly, won't scan or print without a great deal of pain and suffering. I wanted a simple printer that I could plug in and use without drama. This isn't it. It isn't intuitive and there are no directions of course and I have work to do. Hours later I am still sitting here with 25% of my work done and the printer is printing one sheet every 5 minutes. Yeah. At this rate I would have been better off with a monk from the dark ages copying parchment in a temple.
