Broke after less than 3 years

While a great price and a good printer, it should certainly last more than 3 years, and this one broke 2 months shy of that. Called Canon service line and it couldn't be fixed over the phone. Because of the expense of fixing it I'm forced to throw it out and buy a new one. Seems like a terrible waste, and good brands like Canon should last considerably longer.

I like the design and the good quality of the print. It consumes tones of ink and is too expensive to maintain.

    Don't Buy This

I bought this All in one Printer after my Epson died on me. I still have this Canon but I would not buy this because it loses connection to your printer very, very, often. I'm not the only one who has this problem others have the same problem if you go and read on Canon Official website. I'm going back to buying an Epson printer.

I was looking for a printer that still had fax capability. This product has met all of my expectations, and I find it better on ink than the HP it replaced. Great overall printer

Not as good as I expected

This is the 3rd Canon I've owned. Read all the reviews and it seemed like another great printer from Canon. But it is only a decent printer at best. They moved the paper trays to the front, again not a bad idea, but they put a drop down paper eject tray right above them. In order to fill the trays, you must close this dropdown and if you forget to put it back down before printing, it violently and loudly puts itself back down. Just waiting for it to break. It takes the thing sometimes a full 2 to 3 minutes to "warm up" before printing if it has sat for more than a couple hours. If you do use 8.5 x 11 photo paper that will go in the regular paper tray, you can only put them in one at a time. If you put more than that they will all try to pull through the printer together. And it is not a quiet printer by any means. Not very fast printing either. Mediocre design by Canon to say the least. Disappointed.

Easy to set up and connect. Works perfectly for all my needs. Duplex scanning and printing is what I bought it for and it's flawless. :)

Day 1 came home couldn't even get to the setup. 600 error code and also 601 error code. As a long time Canon customer I was duped. I should have read the reviews and not gone anywhere near this machine. I called customer service and they blamed it on Best Buy or the shipping service.

When I purchased this printer it printed great color photos / pictures. It would not hook up to wireless. It only sent one fax now\that does not work Now after second round of ink the printing of photos / pictures are horrible and looks like you are looking thorough window blinds. It is a pice of junk

TWO STARS ONLY BECAUSE ONE IS STILL WORKING. I got two of this printers because my office had one they have been using for a couple of years now. we print A LOT. we are a small business. you can imagine my disappointment when I had to return the 2 new printers and exchange it two different times. we finally got one that worked. The printer worked well for 2months, then everything went wrong. We have had different error codes. print 10 pages and only one comes through - the rest are blank. it take s roughly 7 mins for a photo copy. IMAGINE? PRINTING files would not register to the printer until the follwing day. and most of all, THERE IS ALWAYS A PAPER JAM ERROR- BUT THERE IS NEVER AN ACTUAL PAPER JAM. Needless to say, you can take your chance on this printer. 1 out of 3 is still working.

I bought the printer and set it up following the directions. I went to align the cartridges and they would not align. I did all the trouble shooting, that Canon Suggested. The problem turned out to be a bad print head for the printer. So needless to say the printer went back to the store and I bought a different brand.

Not good for home business use or Chromebooks

I bought this printer about a week ago and returned it within a few days. It printed beautiful pictures and the connection with Google Cloud Print was easy and worked great. My biggest gripe was printing envelopes. It required multiple steps to do it: lift up the printed paper tray, remove the paper feeding tray, take out the paper (it's not made to make that very easy), move the feeder guides, put in the envelope(s), close the tray, pull out the printed paper tray. The image on the inside of the feeder tray is actually backwards to the way the envelope should be turned to print correctly. After all that, repeat the steps to get the paper back in and ready to print again. My other frustration was that it could not connect to save to my computer or send me scans by email because I use a Chromebook. Crazy-heavy and bulky.

Takes 5 minutes to print one page!

If you don't use the printer for a couple of hours it takes 3-5 minutes to print one black and white document! My old hp printed in seconds. I understand printers make take a few seconds to a minute to start up but this canon takes forever! Returning after a week.

    Lots of problems

My first Canon - Pixma Mx922 worked great until I went to replace the 1st cartridge. I thought I had seated the new cartridge properly and closed up the printer. I heard some noise when the cartridge slid back from sight and then more noise when I went to print. Apparently I didn't seat the new cartridge properly and it is now jammed out of reach. I see no solution short of a major disassembly of the printer. I liked the printer up until that time and had a significant supply of replacement print cartridges, so I rolled the dice again, this time with Geek Squad warranty. About a month latter I suffered what seemed to be a minor paper jam, but even though I removed all visible paper from the back, front and bottom of paper from the machine, it still reports an error and won’t print. Again the center of the machine is largely inaccessible, so there may be more paper inside, but I cannot see it to remove. GeekSquad wanted no part of repairing the machine and refunded my purchase price and the cost of the warranty. I’m going to write of my supply of ink cartridges and buy something else. The printer operates very well until it doesn’t. At that point you probably won’t be able to make a simple repair and will be the owner of a paperweight.

    Sensor Issues after 2 years!

NO GOOD! Quit working after 2 years - keeps telling me incorrect print head and its the one that is factory installed! Others have been having same problem not only with this model MX922 but other Canon printers...type into browser search: mx922 Not working. Error 1403: Incorrect Print Head - save your $ and but another brand. Canon referred me to a certifies repairs 30 miles away and have to pass through a dangerous area! Plus no guarantee can be fixed...If there is a class action lawsuit I will be joining...unfortunately this happened after my extended warranty expired! :(

Good printing and scanning until shortly after the warranty expired. Then the print head died, cost of repair is nearly the same as a new printer. Looking for a different brand that hopefully has a longer lifespan.

I haven't had it very long and it doesn't work. It won't connect to WiFi anymore. Even though it says it is. So the wireless part about it is useless. When I connect it through USB it still doesn't work well. All it'll do is print. And that's just on a good day. It won't print everytime I need it to. I've done all I can trying to fix this hunk of junk and it won't work. Worked fine right after I got it. Now it just collects dust. So guess what I'm having to do. Look for another printer. What a waste of money.
