Works but difficult to set up and understand

Not clear if scan functions can be done wirelessly.. There should be a tutorial that steps one through with choices for difficulties. This machine has many aspects and is not set up intuitively (ie buttons and drop down menues from them are nestled in a non-intuitive way). Telephone help was a life saver but takes more time. I have owned previous versions of PIXMAs and found them to be simpler to understand.

Printer is just what I was looking for to replace a canon pixma non-networked printer. The scanner feature comes in handy.

I got this printer on sale for about $80 and I've only had it for about a month but I print something off about everyday and it still has ink. The last printer (espon) I had was garbage bought it for about $50 on sale usually $100 and after printing 5 pages it ran out of ink. This printer is wireless and also comes with sample paper so you can print pictures. Really great printer worth every penny.

We bought this printer to make our Christmas cards, they came out great. The kids like that it's wireless so they can print out homework assignments from their bedrooms without taking up space on their desks. The wife and I are are also happy that we can print things from our cloud based storage as well.

    Great Printer with Minor Flaw

I love Canon printers and purchased this one after my older Canon died on me. We love the document feed for scanning documents, and print quality is great on everything we have printed so far. My only complaint with this printer is that the secondary paper feed is inadequate. My previous Canon had a flip out tray in the back of the printer that would accept any size paper (up to about 11" wide). That made it easy to insert and print large and small envelopes. Unfortunately, this printer only has a smaller secondary try that slides all of the way into the printer and will not accept paper sources longer than about 7-8". So printing larger envelopes is a hassle. You have to remove all of the paper from the main tray, move the paper stops, and place the envelope in there. Then when it is done printing you need to move all of the paper stops back and reinsert your stack of regular paper. A minor inconvenience, but enough for me to drop it one star. It would have been a half star but you can only select full stars.

While this machine is slightly larger, and noisier than my last Cannon, I have been happy with their products. I continue to require a fax machine for work and need a machine that can provide several functions. Cannon provides that at a reasonable cost. Ink can be purchased reasonably if you know where to look.

We use this unit in our Day Care business. The color are always spot on and photos perfect. The printer ink is also very cheap. Then you need to fax or scan to a email address or over a phone line the steps are very simple to use. It can and will handle any all printing needs and more. I can not rate it any higher. Buy it and forget about it.

Definitely recommend this. Replaced our HP when we could no longer get the black ink to work. The Canon works great. Quiet and quick. Scans photos easily as well. Love that it is wireless so we can print from our ipad

I'm retired on a fixed income and not very tech savvy. I use this for various household/personal applications including printing occasional photos. Purchase price was great. Ink costs comparable, and cartridges can be inexpensively refilled at Costco. I had occasion to need tech support and found Canon people well informed patient and courteous.

Had a little trouble getting my router to recognize it. A total reboot of my router fixed that (great support from canon, btw, to figure this out). Works great with both windows and Apple platforms. The front stays closed up until printing then pops open to get your documents. Just be sure when done to close it up. The tongue looks like it can get caught. Otherwise, a very nice air printer.

Big And Heavy. Does A Great Job Printing Photos,Scanner Is A Little Light. The Double Sidded Printing Is Way Cool But Noisey. Ink Seems To Last Well. Overall A Pretty Good Printer And The Price Is Fair.

I had a PIXMA MX860 that I was happy with, but my daughter broke it trying to remove jammed paper. I felt comfortable getting another PIXMA so I purchased the MX922 knowing I didn't need the fax, but since I got a price match at a real good price I figured it made sense to make the purchase. Best Buy didn't give me any problems with the price match. The printer was easy to set up and the installation (and removal) of the ink cartridges is easy. The big drawback, as mentioned by many, is that it is slow.....if you want a quick print, it's not gonna happen. And if you want the printer to start up quickly, that also is not going to happen. But there's always a trade off with price and performance.....maybe there's a better option, but I didn't find it. I still need to check the photo printing and comment on that.....
