I purchased the Canon printer because it was " not expensive" I only had it a couple weeks and so far so good. The last printer I had didn't last a year and I paid double the price. So, Price and quick set up gives this printer 4 stars!!

This is a great printer for light use at home. It is a little loud and can take a minute to wirelessly connect once you turn it on, but other than that print quality and speed is great. I've printed on both photo paper and regular 8.5x11 and it does an excellent job with each. Setup took maybe 10 minutes.

This printer is relatively easy to set up and use and works very well for the price. Of the 2 other printers I’ve owned, this ranks third in print quality. The tiny screen is also very difficult to see compared to other models but I wanted something very affordable that can perform well and this one delivers!

I wanted this printer to be good after reading the great reviews but in my case there were some big deal breakers with this model. 1. The black cartridge is at 70% after printing 5 sheets of black and white. My paper is cotton but nothing beyond average, so be cautious of toner price. 2. It’s noisy, even with the silent mode on. 3. The setup is a nightmare. I have a Mac and there’s no “economic” mode available, only normal and full-res. On PC is available but also very long installation process. 4. There isn’t a tray to storage paper, so every time you want to print you will have to open the device and lay flat the paper. The only reason I’m not returning it is because there aren’t any other printers available in this price range at the moment. Check out the other HP and Brother brands.

First time user of Canon products, so it took me a bit to understand their installation instructions to my new iMac. Keypad was hardest issue for me, couldn't figure out how to 'toggle' from letters to numbers when I chose to set up manually and enter my router code. Keypad is not lit, making the use of a flashlight mandatory. I have very old eyes! Print quality is excellent, but a 30-45 second lag after clicking on print button. Also, printer shuts off after several hours of non-use; my experience is with printers that are always 'on' and respond as soon as the print button is tapped. Saving energy is a good thing, just have to remember to turn on when I want to print. Will take getting used to, but I'm glad I made the purchase.

I really like this printer. I prints excellent photos and regular documents. The copy function is easy to use. Setup was a breeze. I only downgraded it because it doesn't have separate ink tanks for each color. I hate replacing a color cartridge just because one color has run out.

Decent printer for the price. I've used it in both a wireless network as well as a cabled standalone setup and it performed without issues. It may sound a bit clunky and it eats a bit of ink, but it prints clean and precise without fading or smears.

I was a die-hard HP printer fan for a decade. But the network connectivity issues drove us to the point of opting for another brand altogether. So glad we switched to Canon. This model looks much less bulkier than most other duplex printer/scanners. It closes up in the front for more desktop space when not being used. Easy to setup and zero network connectivity concerns! The ink lasts a little longer than HP when it registers low levels, too.

The printer works as it should, easy to install. Software install was equally easy. Was also able to install on my Linux laptop in addition to multiple Windows/Apple systems without any issues. Print quality is what I am used to on Canon printers.

This was easy to set up. I bought it because it was on sale and the price was right. It is significantly louder than our previous printer. It turns off after a while, which might save energy but means you have to go turn it on to print. And I don't like that the paper tray isn't enclosed. I could live with all of those things, but what I came here to warn people about is the ink. The ink didn't last very long and when I went to order more it is out of stock at most places. very frustrating.

This copier is a good and easy copier to use. The price was fairly good and the cartridge replacement is easy to change and you only need two cartridges to change them out which is cheaper and a lot less in the numbers. We are pleased with our purchase.

I bought this printer to use at college, and it is absolutely phenomenal! It’s very easy to use and prints quickly. Additionally, the ink seems to last forever. I printed around 10-15 pages of text per week, and one cartridge of ink lasted the entire semester. This is very ideal for a college student, and is a great investment. My only issue was that it was difficult setting up using my school’s wifi (it’s also a public server) so I opted to use a Type C cord (I think that’s what it’s called) and I love it!

Decent enough for the price. This is our second of the same model in a year...occasional issues with paper tray again, but giving it another try. I have used Canon printers for years without problem.

I was just looking for a budget printer for simple printing needs, but at same time wanted one with good rating from customers. This was what I found and I have been very satisfied with this purchase. It is easy to set up. I can easily print documents or photos from my laptop and iphone. It is easy to choose bw and color option, and also easy to choose double-sided option. When printing in bw, the speed is very fast. It has all the basic function of copy, scan, and printing. Overall, I am happy with this purchase.

We don't need to use a printer all that often and we live full time in an RV, so we were looking for a simple solution for small printing and copying jobs. This fits the bill and was easy to set up and print pretty much right out of the box.
