Fresh and Brand New Out of the box, I opened both inks (black and color), I printed ONE document that was 15 pages (double sided) and before it even finished printing the cartridges ran out of ink! Each replacement pack of in is roughly $35 for regular and $55 for XL. Who wants to constantly buy ink and you cant print more than 30 pages!? Home printers are becoming one of the biggest scams that we allow in the US. After one use I just packed it back up and put it in storage. Trash

The worst excuse fkr a printer. Less than 20 pages and its out of ink rven with XL carts. If you run out of one ink you run out of both.

MAR 2026- I've had the Canon PIXMA TR4720 All in One for about 1 month now. As others mentioned, there are no instructions in the box -- only a QR code or webpage to get setup instructions and although I consider myself tech savvy, neither helped me which was frustrating. I was trying to connect to a Samsung Chromebook which is in "S" mode by default (Safety mode) and will not allow you to ADD a device using the download from the Canon website (unless you change out of "S" mode which I would not do to my elderly mom. I found myself at the Geek squad counter troubleshooting with the pros who gave me the most simple advice that was not stated any where else. - THANK YOU Geek Squad! Take the printer out of the box, plug it in, connect it to your wi-fi using the PUSH connection (press the WPS button on your router) so that the printer finds your wifi and connects automatically, then go to your computer and ADD the printer through the wi-fi which will now show up as an available device. DONE! As others mentioned, the digital display is dark but under good lighting you can see the prompts. The printer is a little louder than our previous Canon MG3620, but prints clear and quickly for a few pages a day. Size of printer is accurate and doesn't take up much desk space. As with any new device, almost all parts are plastic and somewhat delicate. The printer was purchased for my retired mom and set up by me, but she is able to print and copy with ease.

Picked this up for regular home use like printing documents and occasional color prints, and it has been pretty decent overall. Setup took a little patience at first, especially with the wireless connection, but once everything was configured properly, it worked fine. Print quality is good for everyday use, especially documents and standard color printing. The compact size is also nice if you do not have a lot of desk space. It is not a super fast or high-end office printer, but for normal home needs, it gets the job done. One thing to note is the scanner setup is a bit annoying for certain documents because it pulls paper inward through the feeder. So if you are trying to scan things that are delicate, old, folded or not standard paper, it can be inconvenient. For normal sheets of paper though, it works fine. Ink can also go down fairly quickly if you print a lot of color pages, but that is pretty common with inkjet printers in general. Overall, decent printer for the price.

Too small display. No backlight display. Not usable adjustment borderlines. Poor settings & not intuitive

You get what you pay for. Honestly I always by HP, but this was such a good deal I bought it. It wasn't easy to install and I can't even make PDF's. unless I by them. I'm most likely going to return I and get an HP. Also and the PDF"s it did make were very pour quality.

I bought this printer even though I’ve never bought a Canon before I have several others but I read how easy it is to set up and the last printer we bought was very difficult. Well I must say it’s true Canon makes it extremely easy . So far it’s working well. I just wish they’d given a manual instead of needing to go online . It’s easy to use so far we’ve only printed.

Easy to set up, good quality printing, and great price, too

The Canon PIXMA has been a solid printer so far. Setup was super easy and connecting it to Wi-Fi didn’t take long at all. It prints clearly, both black-and-white and color, and photos actually come out really nice. It’s not loud, doesn’t take up much space, and works well from my phone and laptop. Perfect for home use, school work, or basic office stuff. Ink is easy to change and lasts a decent amount of time. Overall, it does exactly what I need it to do. Definitely a good buy for the price.

The setup process was SO easy, I genuinely do not understand how some of these reviews say it was difficult. We had it up and printing within 10 minutes. The picture quality is so crisp compared to our previous HP printer. I've attached comparisons; the left page was our HP printer that would charge us PAGE USAGE, and the right is our new Canon printer. The difference is immaculate.

I would rate my printer with a 10 out of 10 very easy to use nice copies works good with my laptop Bluetooth Wi-Fi very good I would recommend it

A great printer for the price. I had purchased a $400 HP printer that didn't work out of the box. After 2 weeks of very horrible customer service from HP, they sent a replacement that also would not work. They are now refusing to do anything more to make it right, so I am done with HP products. This Canon was on sale for $59.99 (Regularly $99.99, I believe) and let me tell you it totally works great with most of the same features of the $400 HP. It was easy to set up, connects to wifi easy, stays connected, much better print quality, quieter and can actuslly finish a print job completely and as directed by settings. The HP jammed every other page or would give a "trsy empty" message every other page, even though the paper tray was full, would print black and whitecwhen it was set for color, kept disconnecting and giving error messages, stopped printing halfway through a project and saying the project was completed, printed only dinglevsidedvwhen it wss set to print double sided and dizens of other issues with the HP. This Canon puts that HP printer to total shame at a fraction of the cost because all of the features work great and the print image quality is spectacular! The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the body of the printer does feel a bit flemsy, but at least I have a working printer and I would purchase these all day long over any HP products.

printer was easy to setup. One problem when following instructions the result did not happen, Seemed to be stuck on inserting ink cartridges. Turned out I needed to "wiggle" the cartridges after inserting, probably to clean the contacts a little. Then all went smoothly. Done in 1 1/2 hours with most time to finally wiggle cartridges. Prints excellent and copies too.

I've had my first Canon PICMA printer so long that it's outdated technology is no longer supported. So, I went ahead and purchased a new Canon. It is up and running and I am pleased with it's performance. Best of all, I'm able to connect my devices to the printer so I can print from most any room in my home. Fantastic!
