Difficult printer to use

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This came with no instructions other than "go online" or "scan this code" which took me to a site with poor instructions for set up. The online "manual" does not answer the questions I have. The print quality is poor--the black ink prints dark gray rather than true black and the colors are also faded looking. (ink 260 and 261). Ink refills are very expensive and hard to find (except online at Best Buy where it came within 4 days). It turns off after a period of not printing but I don't know how long, whether 30 minutes or a few hours, I just know that I have to manually turn it on again each time I want to print something. It does not "wake up" on its own when a print command is sent wirelessly from another room. it is noisy. Several times it has failed to print giving a message that "paper is empty" when it is NOT. A few on and off maneuvers eventually get it to recognize the paper again but no rhyme nor reason.

Gets the job done

First try started with a paper jam which was a minor obstacle. Other than that, does all the things it needs to with no problems.

Good for the price

The instructions to download the drivers and the software were not great but I eventually got everything set up. I like that it has a scanner as well as the printer.
