I didn't end up needing the printer right away - just recently opened it. Now it's too late to return it and I appear to have received a dud. It doesn't automatically connect to wireless when turned on, and goes through VERY long process to do so. And it won't print at all from my laptop, only the ipad I originally set it up with. Which doesn't print Word documents correctly. I've installed and reinstalled a number of times from my laptop, but it always says "printer is offline", whether the printer is actually connected or not. Canon help manual is of no help when you don't have a relatively standard problem.

One of the worst printers I have a location to home. Very finicky. All of a sudden after a few weeks it wouldn’t print because it needed paper when in fact, the tray was full of paper properly loaded. Will be returning the printer for a better one.

Burns ink like nothing else. Prints are often wet with extra ink. Print quality is okay.

Set up is not quick or easy. A lengthy task using the instruction.

Hard time getting it connected to my wifi. Could be a issue on my end. IDK

Very tricky to set up. Took a few hours and I haven't gotten it to print pictures from my iPhone or iPad only from my computer.

Not a bad purchase. The display is a little bit out of date. Overall not a bad printer.

This is a very good product with exceptional value. The print quality is outstanding and highly recommended for home office printing.

very slow printer, paper keeps getting stuck, wifi connection to other PC not working properly, No RJ45 network hardwire connectivity available.

Worked well for about a month. For the past 2 months, it constantly buffers during a print job. Often it will print 1 page then freeze. It is updated to the latest software. I will have to turn it off then on again and resend the job. From there it prints a page or two and freezes again.

Lack of clarity from setup guide made installing time consuming

average printer. kind of disappointed in photo quality. has lines going through the image. i used the included glossy paper

My last Canon Pixma was so easy to use. Not so much for this one. Instructions are very basic and you have to try and figure it out yourself. Getting the printer to work with WiFi, smart phone, tablets is challenging. I keep trying things to connect and I think I am getting close.I am not computer illiterate but this printer has been hard to figure out.

I can't think of anything good to say about this product, other than that I will no longer have to deal with their customer service now that the product is completely inoperative.

intentionally, It does not come with a usb cable because they want you to be hooked on-line. You better connect it with a usb cable to your computer Since there is a question if i would recommend this product, i would say i would but use an usb cable. expensive ink cartridges though

I just needed a basic color printer for my home desk for occasional printing.

Easy setup and install. Happy with purchase. No tray for copy or scan.

Printer is slow as hell. I'd send print jobs to it and it will take an hour or two or more for it to finish a 5 page job front to back 2- sided. It acks like this for all the devices I print to it. Also it jams up a lot. half the time its cancels a job in the middle of it and its make me unhappy

Cheap pile of garbage. Constant paper jamming, flimsy tray and lid. Constantly feeding extra paper and jamming. Don't waste your money even if only for $1. Shame I have no choice but to give it a star, as zero wasnt an option.
