Wireless signal VERY weak.

(2 weeks to get it delivered during the "pandemic") My printer and computer are in the same room away from other electronics. My computer showed full wifi signal and the printer showed half and all was well for about 3 weeks. NOW. The printer constantly drops the wifi. and even setting this up to print direct wifi (without going through my home wifi router) fails to connect for scans 100% of the time and printing 50% of the time. The reason I had made this purchase is because my previous canon printer wifi chip failed entirely. I now have a usb cable strung across the floor and it seems to operate fine. But this is the 3rd canon model that has had the wifi fail. I have been a dedicated fan of canon printers for the past 10 years but I may be looking for another brand.

Does the job
