Meh.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a cheap printer. Works ok, but you can feel the quality is flimsy. Ink prices are outrageous, even for printer ink.

Inexpensive and difficult to get set up.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not recommend this to anyone and wish we had bought an HP. It ended up coasting us an additional $150 to get it set up.

It's ok
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's ok. Not the best printer I've had and not the worst. Bit of a pain to set up or maybe it was just a bad day.

I HATE this printer!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly... I hate this printer. It is by far the SLOWEST printer I have ever seen, let alone owned. On black and white DRAFT print mode (should be super fast), it takes 2-3 minutes to print 1 page, one-sided. Forget it if you want to save a tree and print in duplex. Half the time, it doesn't even recognize that I sent something to it, even though it is usb connected. The wireless print function works like 1/4 of the time. I have to turn it on every time I need to print because it turns itself off. We have a canon 2900 that is a workhorse, but this one we bought to use for homeschooling is absolutely worthless. I hate it. Worst $115 I've ever spent.

First Time Buying Canon

Bad, jams easily
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy. Poor quality. Jammed up when using the correct type, and was nearly impossible to unjam. Cannot rely on this printer because it jams. If I need something to print something critical I cannot trust this printer to do the job because it may jam when I need it the most.

don't buy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst printer I have purchased. Each time I need top print a size other than 8.5 x 11 I must go through a process to so it will print. i print a lot of 5x7 it takes far too much time! The ink cartridges are very expensive and are short lived. Spend a little more money and get a quality printer

Didn't like
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't like this printer, exchanged it for a Brother. The ink placement isn't as convenient as the Brother printers.

nothing but frustration, scanner does not work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks like I'm in the small group that did not find the set-up of this printer easy or doable. After the better part of a day attempting to trouble shoot the issue, this printer/scanner does NOT scan. It will not scan to my PC and my attempt to have it scan to an email results in an email being sent to nowhere. I'm an engineer so technology is not usually a problem for me. I can't believe I may have to call a technician out to help me get this thing running. Very frustrating.

BEWARE This is NOT a Dual Sided Printer!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely loved my old Canon printer but after 8 years it finally bit the dust. This seemed the most comparable but oh how disappointing it was. This is NOT a duplex printer as it states. It will simply scan some pages and then direct you to flip the pages. While it does this nothing at all prints. It almost triples the time that a duplex printer will take and the amount of pages must be kept low or it jams and you have to start all over. Grrr The photo quality is mediocre and the ink usage is very high compared to their old model. The printing setup (transfer back and forth to rear tray, front, etc) is not at all user friendly like their old setup either. There are so many steps involved that it's a pain. The rear tray also MUST be used if you would like to print off of special paper such as stationary because the front tray is cumbersome and difficult to open. The touch screen is glitchy and will jump around. I could go on but hopefully by now you are rethinking your purchase.
