Easy to use; large display; colors not very bright; control flap and paper tray flimsy

Yes, this is a Canon inkjet printer with fax capabilities. It is bulky but feels flimsy. The paper output tray does not extend automatically so your prints might be jettisoned out onto the floor if you forget to manually extend the paper output arm. The paper loading mechanism feels like something that should have been eradicated 15 years ago - the removable paper cap fell away from the drawer the first time I removed the drawer from the printer. As expected from a modern printer, the ink cartridges are tiny which means a printer like this is simply a vessel for ink replacement sales. Setup was incredibly easy via this Canon's large and bright touch-sensitive screen. Photo printing is great, but it should be AMAZING since Canon has been doing this for years now. Text printing is supported by a supplemental black cartridge. The text printing registers to me as very good but not great. There is no excuse for inkjet printing to fall anywhere short of rivaling laser printed text in 2022. This will be a great fax machine and occasional remote photo printer. Canon should be doing much better than this!

Printer has worked great from the beginning. Easy to use and prints are high in quality. Wireless feature is very convenient.

This printer is the best to operate. I am not a know it all when it comes to the computer, but it is so easy to work all of what is asked of the computer.

I like it, but I don’t love it. This replaced a Canon mx9920. Not the same! I like that it automatically powers off, but not “sleep”. Has to be powered on to print. So if you are working on another floor or down the hall, you have to remember to go power it on to print. Not good if you are multi tasking and cannot get to the printer right away to turn it on.

It was a well chosen replacement for my broken printer given the really affordable price and the quickness of delivery (the next day). It has a flaw or two re: ease of preparing it to print compared to my previous printer (also made by Canon). Overall a good purchase informed by a good Geek Squad visit and assessment.

I am still getting used to it but so far it's a perfect. I was concerned about whether it would fit in the area I have it stored.

So far, so good. It replaces an HP printer that seems to go bad after one year. The Canon printer is new, so time will tell. Half the times I try to print something, though, it makes me open or close something first - it won't print with the panel closed.

Good value for the price. It isn’t as “solid” as my previous printer (also a Canon), as this one just feels a little “flimsy” when opening doors and covers, but it works fine, at a reasonable price. Also, isn’t particularly fast, but I knew that when I bought it, and it works fine for occasional home use

THIS IS THE 4 TH CANNON PRINTER.; LAST WAS A 92XX. SO FAR I LIKED IT THE BEST. FINALLY DIED AND WOULD NOT LET ME RESCUE IT. THIS IS THE SECOND 8620. THE 92XX WAS A BIT NICER, HOWEVER IT IS NOT AVAILABLE, NOR DOES IT SEEM TO HAVE A REASONABLE REPLACEMENT. THE 92XX HELD TWICE AS MUCH PAPER IN 2 DRAWERS. I DONT THINK THAT THE 8620 HAS A "BUILT" IN FAX PAGE. AND OF COURSE THE CARTRIDGES, ALTHOUGH THEY LOOK EXACTLY ALIKE AND FIT DO NOT WORK,. IF YOU START WITH THIS MACHINE AND HAVE MODERATE EXPECTATIONS YOU WILL BE HAPPY.
