I love this new printer. Easy to use, beautiful photos and printing, and quiet. This replaces my old Canon Pixma MP560 that was 12 years old.

Good replacement for my MG6620. Compact size, nice big display on the front, plus bonus of sheet feeder for copies and scans. 4x6 photo and envelopes can only be fed from the rear. Too bad front tray only accommodates 5x7...
Easy set up and connection. Can print direct from google photos and other cloud storage.

I waited a while before reviewing. I’ve printed at least a ream of paper including glossy paper and sticker paper
I’m beyond happy with this all in one printer. The photo prints come out looking excellent, the ink lasts and the scans come out looking really clean! Recommend for at home / small projects!
Also worth noting, in my experience printers are notorious for being time sinks in troubleshooting. Not this one. Works every time!

I've gone through two HP printers in the last three years and got sick of replacing them due to having issues after just a year of owning them. I've been a Canon digital camera customer for many years and decided to give their printers a try. This printer performs very well in terms of printing both color and black & white. It does a good job of scanning but if you're used to HP scanning, you will notice a difference with these. They do a quality job scanning but are not as seamless with its filing method when saving onto the computer. Also, the user interface for Canon's software is not as easy to use as HP's and when you need to scan in duplex mode or multi pages, getting to the settings to adjust it is not as easy. Overall, I am still very happy with this printer but I wish it had a more user friendly interface for scanning documents. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a quality printer but just be prepared to have some patience when scanning multiple documents or having to switch back from one document type to another in one session.

My older printer finally died and I got this printer. Great replacement! Good price. Was very easy to set up and start to use. Takes my cartridges from my previous printer that died which saved me $$. Glad I got this printer. I would order another Canon but should not have to for awhile if this one lasts as long as my previous printer.

likes: multifunction including fax, large touch screen, easy hookup, good text print quality, decent print speed, compatible with some non canon brand ink cartridges...dislikes: front output tray a bit flimsy, ink use higher than average...overall very good printer and I would buy again...

I bought this printer to replace my HP printer. My HP printer was unreliable. Sometimes it would work. Sometimes it wouldn't eventually spit stuff out. Set up was always a hassle. And the multi feeder broke early on when I bought it. The Canon though was super easy to set up it. It's easy to use and it was just seamless to start using it. Nothing new to learn really much and it prints well. I don't know about sound. I don't pay attention to that. You can sign up with Canon on their website to get ink sent to you from your and they charge your account. So when you're getting low on ink it'll send it to you and charge you for the cartridges or you can set it up to be charged by the numbers of copies that you use, or you can just buy your own when you need them and put them in, you aren't tied to a plan if you don't want it.

This printer is very easy to install. It is cost efficient because it uses individual color pods. If one color runs out, just that color gets replaced, rather than the whole insert. The price was reasonable at Best Buy, where I could pick the printer up, rather than having it shipped. The recycling option was also helpful in turning in my old printer.

This is a decent to good printer with a few draw backs but nothing too bad. It connects easily enough, ink replacement is easy enough and it's compact. The loading tray and front catch tray are a little delicate but work. The front screen needs to be up to let the printer print (all these weird inconveniences are on the front). I think this was designed for small tight spaces. However, it was very affordable for it's functions and I haven't had any connection issues, jamming issues or anything like that. It's more of a B- grade. Not bad at all but could be improved.

To start - Canon makes great prints.
I wish the door did not have to be open to use it. Would like to keep it closed to keep dust and cats out. It looks like the paper would easily exit with the door closed. Over 35 seconds to make a double side black and white print from my computer. Sometimes, even when I correctly set up the printer, it wants to use the rear paper feed even though that feed was not selected and no paper is in the feeder. Recommended for a low cost good printer. Just takes time to print and get use to.
