Do not buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually hate this printer. I bought it hoping that it would be easy to use. Everytime anyone in the house wants to print (I have three sons who have to print for school), we have to go over to it and turn it on, cause it always turns off, then we have to click on wireless and enable it, EVERYTIME!! I just saw the return window is closed, which is on me because I didn’t set up the printer right away and have only been using it for a couple weeks now and am now stuck with a printer that I hate. Don’t repeat my mistake.

Great, all around printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really liking Canon printers these days. With this small(ish) form factor and great features, can't go wrong with with these. I've used a few Canon printers and really liked the simplicity and reliability of them. I used to be a HP fan however their durability has been questionable in the past few years and the introduction of their HP+ service is a joke. Canon has always been a reliable printer for me and this one is no different. Out of the box, it's super easy to setup/install. Comes with some starter ink cartridges and power cable which is all you need to get setup. After setup, thanks to its small form factor. it fits perfectly on my little printer stand. As with other Canon printers, the quality is very nice. I don't do a whole lot of picture printing but the couple test pictures I printed out were good quality. I usually print for business/personal use so I'm usually limited to just black and white printing. Good to know though this is capable of printing that random picture if I need it to. Copier and scanning work equally as good. Really haven't had any issues so far with this printer, or with any Canon printer really. Great little all-around printer to have for small office/home use.

Useless Instructions, Useless Scanner
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is miserable to set up. The Wi-Fi printing/scanning doesn't work and the instructions are useless. The top loader to scan multiple pages only worked one time for me. Finally, it doesn't even come with the USB cable to plug it into a PC. Don't waste your money! I wish I could return it.

Love Canon Printers Not this Model
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had two Canon Printers and they were workhorses. Swore by Canon. This model is the worst. I have had nothing but problems with this printer. Forgetting connection, not printing documents and half printing documents. DO NOT purchase this model.

Good printer for low use situations.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Canon - PIXMA TR8620a Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer with Fax – Black. The Cannon Pixma printer is well suited for it’s class and price range. Using the printer I have found these items to note. First the Cons. The scanner is only single sided even though the printer dose duplex printing. In order to get a duplex scan, you have to go thru a somewhat long process of menu setting or software settings to get it set up for duplex scanning. The front of the printer must be opened in order for it to print. There is enough room for the paper to exit the printer with the front closed, but it will stop and tell you to open the front. If not opened all the way, it will not continue when you click on the OK button. The front display doesn’t go to sleep at times. During my testing it only went to sleep twice when left alone for 30 minutes. I set the power saving options for it to go to sleep but it didn’t. Installing the drivers assumes you have not set the printer up at all. You must click thru a bunch of steps you have already done. This may not apply to everyone. Now the Pros. When the energy savings is set to turn the printer off, it wakes up on its own when a print job is sent to it. Printing is clear, clean, and fast. The printed text is clear under a single pass of a highlighter. Doing more than 1 pass will smudge the print. This is better than some printers. It does duplex printing if you set that option in the software, or if you select that option from the program you print from. Once set up your phone will see the printer and print to it natively. There is also an APP that you can get to optimize the printing from your phone. I found the APP unnecessary. Photo printing is easy and high quality. They include a few sheets of 4x6 photo paper to try it with. Finding the right photo paper in the menu system is a little bit of an issue, but once you find it you’ll get a beautiful high gloss picture that is water proof. I ran mine under water for 30 seconds and rubbed it with my fingers. It stayed perfect and once it dried the paper did not have any curl in it. Bottom line. I will have to wait and see how long the print cartridges last, but in this price range you should be very happy. The paper feed tray is a bit small but that will only be an issue if you print a lot. The printer connects via Wi-Fi as well as Ethernet and USB to computer. It supports SD cards with the touch screen allowing navigation. It can be connected to a phone line for Fax service. I got this printer to put on my aunts computer desk but it is just a little to big for her. I will use it a secondary printer in my home office.

Printer setup sent me to scammer
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't used the printer much but had to pay a computer guru to get it set up. I followed instructions that came with the computer and the site that I went to to get the drivers was that of a scammer who claimed I had malware and who wanted a lot of money to clean the system and install the drivers. My "geek" found no malware and installed the printer in less than 10 minutes. Computer cost $199 and installation was $100. Shame on Cannon

Worst printer ever
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst most cumbersome to use printer I have ever owned. The set up took 45 min. It turns itself off,it takes 5 stupid ink cartridges, you hit print and in 30-40 sec it decides to print. I would tell anybody to RUN away from this one.
