The description promises more than the product can deliver. Operation is not easy at all. Very difficult ergonomically to operate and going through the menu is near impossible if you have vision limitation. Script too small and text crowded. I rdo not ecommend this printer for people over 50.

It is a great printer. Small. Quiet. Reliable. The catch is the same as for all other printers. It is cheaper to purchase the same new printer ($59) than both black and white and color ink cartridges for it ($65, XL size).

The most user-friendly printer I've ever purchased. I can print on two sides, in color, black and white, photos. I can manage the print settings easily. It has a paper tray underneath the printer and a rear feed paper tray. It's quiet. I don't have to stop what I'm doing to adjust anything while it's printing... I'm amazed that I don't have to intervene to assist the printer mid-print job as I had to do with ALL of my previous printers (I've had many mostly HP - high and low end -). Yay.

This is my review for the Canon - PIXMA TS6420a Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer. Set up and install were very easy for this printer. I had a little bit of an issue when set it up on the wireless network. After trying to get it up and running the third time worked for me. I'm not sure if it was my wifi or the printer software. I was happy to see that this printer also prints photos, so that's a nice bonus and will save me a trip to a store to print photos out. My grandmother will really appreciated that! The printer itself is pretty quiet, I haven't had any issues with print quality either, but it's also a brand new machine. I had concerns about the cost of the toner but I was able to find it online for a decent price just under $30. I wish that the toner that was included was larger. Hopefully the toner will last a while as I don't print too often at home. The scanner works very well and I haven't had any issues with it. Overall I'm pretty happy with this printer!!!!!!

Do not purchase! cheaply made… after printing a few 30ish page documents, the drawer decided to give up on me and won’t close. Super slow, and a complete waste of time. Now past the return period and can’t get my money back… don’t be fooled by the positive reviews… I was.

When I received this printer I had intentions of using it at my office at work, however, my younger son is going off to college in the middle of August and as soon as he saw it he asked if he could have it to take to college. I was a little reluctant that it would be to large of a “footprint” and really “to much of a printer” for what he would need while a Freshman in college. However, we went to orientation several days after we received it and I think it will be just fine. Its a pleasant looking printer that is simple to use and setup. He literally had it connected to his iPad, iPhone, and laptop within minutes. Installing the supplied ink cartridges was a breeze. What I truly love about this printer is the quality of prints. My son had to print off some forms for work/school and they came out looking great. I had some bulletins that I downloaded and printed out for work and I was so impressed with the color quality, granted, they took a little longer to print than our industrial printer, to me the quality of print was better (I only printed 10, in a given week for our Church we print 200) but I was so happy that we have decided to purchase three of these to replace our older printers in the employee offices. If you are looking for a reasonable printer, that is easy to setup, install the ink and print in minutes from any of ypur devices. THIS IS IT

I am amazed at this printer! Quick and easy online purchase. Setup was no problem once this "novice" figured out the right the right wireless password! It has performed flawlessly and sometimes it seems the printer knows what I want before I do!! Both Canon and Best Buy provide excellent support. Overall this was an excellent purchase!!

Out of the box, this printer is a bit on the big side. Not overly big, but just enough that it may be more difficult to place in your room or office. It is a wireless printer so all you have to do is connect to your home or work wifi and install the drivers on your computer or device and you are all set. You can print from your computer, tablet, phone, etc. Once you power on and connect to the wifi, definitely check for a firmware update. The screen on the printer is small, but easy to navigate and set up. This printer is definitely centered on presentation sheets or photos. For full color photos, it does a great job on printer clarity, but you also need to make sure you run the maintenance on the print head often to keep everything clear and aligned. Its print speed varies how color intensive your photo or document is, but overall is pretty quick. There are several alignment spots for different sizes of paper or photo sheets. I think it prints the best on photo glossy sheets. The scanner software is easy to set up and use as well. Once you install the drivers, you can just put in what you want to scan make copies or send to your device to save or print later. Scan quality is ok, but gets the job done and shows all of the details you need to acurately copy. Overall, Inkjet printers do a great job at printing the high quality photos or documents you need, but the cartridge cost is always high, so expect to be spending quite a bit on those color cartridges. I like the ease of use with this printer and its clarity and colors especially used on photo sheets. I would recommend.

I got this for my least tech-savvy child. I was there if there were problems but let them set up and use. They found it super simple to set up and use so they were delighted and so was I. I find it to be a good home printer where you aren't running off hundreds of copies a day. It works great for school reports, printing a shopping list and items of that nature. It doesn't print as fast as I would prefer but is fine for what we need. It has two paper feeds, one a dedicated paper tray which I very much appreciate and also a paper feed where you can print photos, envelopes or other than regular sized paper items. The black and white copies are crisp and look great. I'm of two minds with the color prints. They are okay for this class of printer, not great but not bad. The color quality seems a bit off to me but it wasn't as bad using dedicated photo paper as it was printing on regular paper. The dedicated paper tray sticks so can be a bit difficult to use. When I think of an all-in-one printer, I think copy/print/scan/fax. This printer does not fax if you are looking for those, skip it. I'm also a bit concerned by the amount of ink already used but will wait to make a determination once we use a cartridges we've bought, not just what was provided. Overall, I find this to be a good printer for what I think of as regular, home use - school papers, homework and printing out lists, receipts and letters.

It does what it needs to do... print. But it prints pictures with very very light colors. And there is no way to fix it.

The Canon - PIXMA TS6420a Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer does a good job handling all the basics I was looking for in a home printer. Following are the pros and cons I found while setting this printer up and using it: PROS: - You can print, make copies, and scan. - It has a normal paper tray and also a paper feed mechanism in the back if you want to feed other types of paper or envelopes through for printing or copying. - You can print single or double-sided. - You can print wirelessly from either a PC or from your smart phone. I have been printing from an iPhone and it works very well. There is a jack to connect a PC via cord if you don't want to print wirelessly, but you will need to purchase the cord as it does not come with one since it is a wireless printer. - Set up was easy. You scan a QR code and it pulls up a set up manual. It comes with both a starter black and color ink cartridge. - There is a Canon Print App you download as part of the setup also. It allows you to pull up manuals, check ink levels, order ink, check link and signal strength, update firmware, operate the print/scan/copy functions, get into settings and many other options. It is a nice app that lets you do a lot of functions. - There is also an LED screen and buttons to perform all functions directly from the unit itself. - On the unit you can push a QR button on any function you are trying to perform and it will generate a QR code to take you to the online instructions for that function. - I've tested all functions and they all work well. CONS: - The LED screen is quite small, only 1.25" x 1.25" square. They seem to make everything fit on the screen if you want to do a function on the device, but the print on the screen ends up being pretty small. - While the QR codes and online manuals worked fine for me, it would be nice to have a printed manual and set up guide to refer to also, especially for folks who may not be comfortable using QR codes and Apps and just want to operate everything from the unit. Overall this printer will meet all my home printer needs and the App will make it convenient to do everything wirelessly from my iPhone.
