I am using it with an R5. Very sharp lens and amazing focus speed. I both aspects I find it a tad better than the EF 100-400 L II, and of course, the bigger focal range is a plus, too.

Exceptional light weight lens with great reach for anything from wildlife to airshows. Spend the $$ and fall in love.

So sharp and faster Len, I coming from a primer but heavy, this one is perfect good quality and very lightweight

Of course everyone’s shooting style and needs are different, but this lens has performed flawlessly for me in a variety of applications and after renting it several times, I decided I needed to have it for my kit and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Ive used it for nature/wildlife, event and even lunar/astro shots.

After renting this lens multiple times, I decided I needed to own it. The pictures I have been able to capture with this lens would not have been possible with my 70-200mm. Would I love a faster aperture, of course, but with the ISO range of the R5, I haven't had an issue.

This lens takes BEAUTIFUL photos and I’m very happy with it.

Well, owning a 100-400 EF lens, I was hoping this lens would be just as good. Wrong, this lens is better, it takes great pictures, the clarity is spot on, I probably won't take this lens off my R5.

This lens is incredible, everything I needed, you can take incredible photos at long distances, the quality is extreme.

Added this lens to my R7 canon & very happy with the way it handles & captures wildlife.

This is such a great lens to have if you like wildlife photography! I’ve been thrilled with the sharpness and overall look of this lens. It’s great on my R6 and crop sensor R7 bodies.

I am loving this lens. It’s a lot heavier then I expected but I’m okay with it. I upgraded from the 100-400. Feels really well built. Takes great shots. I think the fun factor is worth the $$.

I bought this lens to take better photos of birds. The advantage of this lens is that it is better for lower light and fast moving birds. I've taken some nice photos with it. It is lighter to carry but more fragile than the heavier lens. Be careful not to hit it on anything.

This is an excellent telephoto zoom when you have good light. The minimum f/7.1 aperture at 500m is not as bad as one would think with the high iso performance of the new R series Canon bodies. I've found this lens to be an improvement over my EF 100-400 L series lens it replaced.
