great ultra wide lens and great price on it. I love it. Great for astrophotography.

The Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 STM, is just like its brother 50mm is affordable and cheapest ultra wide lens in the RF system. This is a compact and the cheapest lens of RF system for landscaping photography, astrophotography and vlogging. The image quality is not sharpest, but you can get decent photo from it. The negative is that f/2.8 no image stabilization, and no weather sealing. However you cannot beat the price that canon offer for 16mm lens.

This was a great price. The value far exceeds the price. Excellent condition. I’ve had zero problems with this.

Good: Very light. Great price. Takes small size filter which are cheap. Bad: Raw images from this lens are unusable for professional use. . Auto correction from camera or lightroom makes the jpeg acceptable for social media.

This is my favorite lens for distorted perspective art-type shots. It's great to put something in the foreground and have it blown up. I also love the lightweight, compact form factor. At f/2.8, off-center sharpness and contrast are quite lacking, but that is expected at this price point as heavy in-camera or in-post corrections are necessary to get a normal looking image. Center sharpness is great wide open.

Got this lens when it went on sale for my RP. The lens takes great wide angle pictures. I find the images sharp and focusing is fast. Distortion is expected in a 16mm lens as it takes a wide angle. The best way of minimizing distortion is to shoot the horizon at a straight line. I believe most people who complain of distortion are new to photography.

This lens is a must have for any canon RF mount user. Whether you are shooting Full frame or crop sensor, this lens is a must have. Small, lightweight, and absolutely insane image quality. The 16 mm field of view on either full frame or crop sensor is great to use and the F2.8 aperture makes low light photography. Absolutely amazing.

I've already used this lens for about two months and it's great for both pictures and video. I like how I can use the hood and UV filter from the 50mm on this lens. Looking forward to using it for astrophotography soon but overall, highly recommend this bad boy!
