This lens is exactly what I was looking for. Beautiful low light pictures and performs like an L lens. The focus speed is very fast and takes amazing photos. Only down side is you have to turn the lens to the "picture mode" from it's storage mode. But that's not a big deal at all. Love how compact and light this lens is. Takes amazing video and has very sharp images. The perfect lens for my Canon R8. It's the only lens I use now even over my other L lens

I bought this as a lightweight travel lens for vacations. It is pricey for some people but it is sharp and can shoot in low light. I have it on an R8 for a small camera rig that packs a punch. I’ve shot in low light restaurants and outside on a trail. The range may be the only downside but you are not going to find anything more compact and light.

Love this lens, became my daily use and has been everything I wanted and more. It’s not heavy, it’s a beautiful soft blur (I found the other 28-70 to blurry-yes you can change it but the weight was crazy) and just overall amazing.

Great lens at a super price. This lens will replace my 24-100 as a mid range between my RF14-35mm and RF70-200mm f4. Lightweight and easy to pack, and sharp photos!

Not sure what I was thinking spending this amount of money as a hobby photographer but when I used this lens, I found out it was completely worth it. There is something great about changing depths without the f stop changing with the constant 2.8. Images are outstanding.

An excellent purchase, it offers almost the same quality as a 24-70, obviously there are some minor flaws but it's very good for the price.

Sharp at all aperture, fast auto focus and beautiful rendering with nice colors tones. What else do you need. It competes with much expensive L series lens

This lens blew me away with how clean it is. The combo with the Canon R8 takes high quality professional photos. The autofocus works wonders and never misses if you got the right camera settings. Glad I bought this as my first RF lens.

Great lens, very clear photos even at 2.8 with a large group. Not much bokah or blur but great if you want a full photo in focus or a story telling lens.

Super light and awesome sharp lens! Wanted to upgrade the quality of my videos and instead of spending the big bucks on a lens and body, I decided to go for the canon RP and this lens, and honestly, it’s such a great set up!

This lens is a great zoom lens for your buck. If you dont want to spend the $2500 - $3600 for the L Series lenses, this should be good enough.

I use this lens for my Canon EOS Mark 6 III and the picture quality comes out amazing. The F2.8 aperture is great for low-light shots (less noise in the pictures) and the image looks professional. You can definitely see the difference in quality when compared to a smartphone.

Lite weight, images are very sharp, and image color is excellent. This lens is equal to or better than the L series lenses by Canon.

Absolutetly great lens for the price. I looked at getting the higher end versions of this lens. Being someone who is just getting back into photography after 10+ years, I'm glad I purchased this one. The quality of this lens on modern digital bodies is soooo much better than some of the more expensive lenses years ago.
